Qdev for ZCG (June 2025)

I’m Qdev, a zechub developer, graphic artist, and writer. I currently serve on the Zcash Ad Hoc Caucus (ZAC) and am an active contributor to the zechub Design SubDAO core team.

When I first joined the zechub community via Dework, I was immediately drawn in by the collaborative spirit and shared mission. Over time, this community has become more than just a group of collaborators, it’s become a family. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute in multiple ways: co-developing the zechub website, designing visuals for various initiatives, competing in several creative challenges, and even building “Zchat,” a Zcash-based crypto messaging app that earned me a runner-up spot in the 2024 hackathon. I should also mention that I have spread the word about Zcash to several individuals and relevant communities, guiding talented people and tech enthusiasts through the onboarding process to boost the growth and participation in the Zechub community.

Why I’m Running

I’ve spent the past year engaging deeply with the Zcash ecosystem, often from a builder’s perspective. However, having observed key decisions being made that shape our future, I’ve long hoped to be a part of ZCG. This offers a chance to step into that role and represent the community with the care, creativity, and strategic insight I’ve cultivated over time. I’ll bring a builder’s mindset, a designer’s eye, and a heart for transparency and community.

Vision
• Empower Creators: I have a vision to improve access to funding and support for grassroots developers and designers.
• Design-Driven Growth: I believe in creative storytelling and polished design to boost adoption and understanding and plan to adopt that.
• Transparent Governance: I plan to promote clear, accountable decision-making.
• Welcoming New Talent: I also plan to onboard and mentor newcomers, especially from underrepresented regions as I have always done.

I’ve shown commitment, energy, and results. Now, I want to help more builders and creatives thrive in Zcash. Thanks for your support!

Design. Build. Govern. Together.

Hi guys,

I’m Qdev, and I’m reaching out with gratitude, humility, and hope as we near the end of the ZCG committee election. I’ve proudly served as a ZCAP member for over a year, actively participating in several elections. This time, I choose to step forward and run not just to vote for change but to be a part of it and help shape a stronger future for Zcash

Over the past year, I’ve been deeply involved in the Zcash ecosystem and not just as a name, but as a builder. I’ve contributed in multiple ways:

· As a developer, I created Zchat, a messaging app during the 2024 Zcash Hackathon and also completed a number of development tasks on the dework platform which contributed to the zechub wiki development.

· As a writer and graphic designer, I’ve helped communicate ideas and present the Zcash vision in compelling, accessible ways.

· And as a community member, I’ve invested time, thought, and effort into conversations and proposals that move Zcash forward.

I’ve seen firsthand the potential within our ecosystem especially from smaller teams and individuals who have big visions but often limited reach or access. If elected to the ZCG committee, here are the goals I’ll fight for:

Leveling the playing field– Giving smaller, promising projects a fair shot at funding, no matter their size or fame.

Geographic inclusion– Talent and innovation are global. I want every contributor whether in Lagos or Lisbon to feel seen, heard, and supported. I’m all for inclusiveness and open participation in community building.

Vision-driven funding– Prioritizing bold ideas and meaningful contributions over connections or reputation alone.

More transparency and community input– Keeping the spirit of decentralization alive with honest communication and collective growth.

Zcash is built by people who care. I care deeply. And if given the chance, I will serve with integrity, openness, and a relentless drive to ensure we build a future where every worthy idea has a seat at the table.

If you are a member of ZCAP and haven’t yet cast your vote, I’d be honored to have your support.

Thanks so much for reading and thank you to everyone who has already voted.
