Qdev for ZCG (December 2025)
I’m Qdev, a zechub developer, graphic artist, and writer. I currently serve on the Zcash Ad Hoc Caucus (ZAC) and remain an active contributor to the zechub Design SubDAO core team.
Since joining zechub via Dework, I’ve stayed deeply involved in building, designing, and telling Zcash stories. I co-developed the zechub website, created visuals for multiple initiatives, took part in creative challenges, and built Zchat, a Zcash-based crypto messaging app that placed runner-up in the 2024 hackathon. Beyond that, I’ve consistently introduced Zcash to new people and communities, helping onboard talented builders and enthusiasts into the ecosystem.
I ran for ZCG in June. I didn’t win but I didn’t step back either. I kept building, collaborating, and learning from the process. That experience strengthened my conviction that I can contribute meaningfully on the grants side, not just as a grantee or contributor.
Why I’m Running (Again)
Over the past year, I’ve seen how critical ZCG’s decisions are for the future of Zcash and its builders. I’m running again because I still believe I can bring a builder’s mindset, a designer’s eye, and a strong focus on community and transparency to the committee. I want to help ensure that good ideas don’t stall for lack of support, structure, or visibility.
Vision
Empower Creators: Continue improving access to funding and support for grassroots developers, designers, and educators.
Design-Driven Growth: Use storytelling, UX, and strong visuals to make Zcash more understandable, relatable, and adoptable.
Transparent Governance: Encourage clear communication around decisions, criteria, and tradeoffs so the community understands why choices are made.
Welcoming New Talent: Actively support onboarding and mentorship, especially for contributors from underrepresented regions something I’ve already been doing in practice.
I’ve shown commitment, consistency, and results even after not winning the first time. Now I’m asking for the opportunity to serve on ZCG and help more builders and creatives thrive in the Zcash ecosystem.
