frankly, why zec is still coping like everything is normal and hashrate is climbing high after high is hard to reason. too strong hype echo so there are still enough knife catchers and sunk cost fallacy is to strong for many to completely write off and forget? i mean, with such price performance it should already die off like year ago, like any scammy ico. from investor point of view its total disaster and nightmare. personally, i expected it will hold something like 0.0072 as an ultimate bottom. but no. there are many reasons for this, but we have what we have. so my odds - 20% it will be a resurrected unicorn if founders, devs, foundation, main stackholders will get crucial and fast to deploy decisions how to evolve from obscure protocol stage with trancparent governance to something more close to confident, neat and grit ecosystem. 80% - this agony finally ends somewhere. do founders really think that zcash has that amount of time that bitcoin had to evolve? it hadnt/havent. too much competition. especially with aggressive promotion. it looks like pure communism from the developers to propagate their achievements when number goes down persistently. like “we are getting paid for work, not for a result and its okay”. so i think near future is do or die time for zcash. money dont follow current efforts.

I know this is a trader thread ( and less of an investor thread), but I’ve not seen anybody talking about value investment. To me, zcash is more about that… strong bases. There are plenty of crypto currencies out there that have a price making no sense …
BSV to only mention one …
on a long term point of view, I still believe that projects like zcash make much more sense than the many that are out there.

its not bad to buy even now, but only as a matter of affordable asymmetric bet. not all in or something like that. because if there would be strong rejection of funding initiatives, price will plummet further but odds of future success will plummet non less.

zcash just needs some positive news. we haven’t had anything announced that would excite a market for almost a year. coinbase listing in 2018 was the last decent announcement for ZEC, but coinbase hasn’t really listed ZEC until we get a USD pair, imo. if i was CEO of ECC would’ve probably waited until october’s leg-up to bring up future funding. we’ve been here before, btw. almost exactly like 2017.

If there is a conspiracy theory, then I see the following events:
- There is news, but they are deliberately hidden until hour X.
- There is also an agreement in one or more countries to test technology
- There are contracts with the team for a time longer than current funding.
- There is an investor or several investors in the company itself and the product based on the coin (the product that will use the coins for confidentiality of something)
- There is a draft code for financing (and what is happening now is the election that has already been made in advance, but the community should approach the decision itself)
As a result, we get line 4-6 in CMC and price 1000>
But in order for this to happen, you need to have a conspiracy
almost like we’ve been here before! check the month in 2017 this was posted.

i want to mention only 1 last thing. this market is driven by narratives. only. period. how they are cooked and how this all is being gamed by involved parties - its a big different story. so, as i’ve mentioned before. zec is not dead, but approaching do or suspend stage. will there be decided a future for this project, or abandon - it will be decided not at this board/twitter/reddit/youtube rewards discussion whatsoever. there are chances, that this currency/project as is will be alive and will get boost. as far as i see. there are chances that not. so keep/place your bets, or sell and forget. mental health is much more valuable then money, imho.

mebbe i’ll go out to see if the fish store has some crabs for sale. markets always seem to perk-up when i buy crabs.
some newer people on the forum might not understand crab thing. apparently, crabs are good luck!
