Recommended spec for solo mining computer?

Hello Guys,

One of my friends works in an office which charges him fixed value for electricity so we are planning to setup two machines to mine zcash.

From what i understood Zcash will be mineable via CPU only, so i wondering which kind of machine would be good for the job?

I guess a standard computer wouldn’t be the best scenario because the machine would be on 24/7 and that would probably “overheat” a normal computer?

Would be a worth to pick a motherboard that can handle more than one CPU ?

I would say yes a server board is most likely what you want.they typically handle multi cpu easier plus they are built to run all the time. Also the onboard NICs are usually better.

Sometimes there are dual NICs so you could setup a backup network for redundancy
