Shielded pool size data now available on zdash.info

Hello all,

I just released an update for Zdash.info - the site now includes a chart for Shielded Pool Size. As with everything else on Zdash.info, this data is continually updated and includes all data from 2016 through to today.

Good point - been thinking about the best approach to make such a chart heavy site more accessible on mobile.

I ended up taking it down due to hosting costs - but glad there’s still interest.

I never got to see it in action but having an up to date shielded pool size website would be a nice potential Zcash community grants project. Also it would go well with the shielded by default update and campaign coming out soon.

Shame its not working. It had very cool graphs and metrics… maybe we can crowdfund here for the hosting…

Any plans to open source the code? A community member can extend features and even host the dashboard.

I agree. I used zdash.info often and found it a very useful resource. @elliotblanchard please consider submitting a Zcash Community Grants proposal to cover hosting costs.

Also, I agree with @aiyadt. Please consider making the code open source.

Hi all,

Really happy to hear that people enjoyed the site. I actually didn’t realize that so many folx were finding it useful. As mentioned above, all of the source is already available. There’s a few more moving parts involved to pull the chain data in, but I’m happy to get someone up and running with the code. It’s a Rails / React stack with a proxy in Express. I was hosting it on Linode, Heroku and Netlify

Great! Please consider applying for a grant and updating the dashboard. It would be great to see the new Orchard Pool stats supported too!

Sounds great. Again, appreciate all the interest. I have a busy next few weeks, but then I’ll put a grant in. Should be fairly straightforward to get it up again.
