Thank you for your interest in the Global Ambassador Program. We currently do not have a formal application process in place and will not be considering new ambassadors until later this spring when first cohort’s initial three-month trial period expires.

If you’d like to be considered, please post your interest and qualifications to this thread or send an email to grants@zfnd.org.

By the way, I reached out to Zoz in a private message and suggested that he apply for this, because I’ve seen a lot of good tweets/tweet-threads from him in Arabic over the last year or so. Here are a few examples of those:

He hadn’t heard of the Global Ambassador Program before I reached out, so I’m glad I let him know about its existence.

Hello everyone!

I’m happy to share this video with Russian voice acting. In the comments and at the beginning of the video, I indicated that the translation was carried out with the support of ZF and ZOMG.

I plan to translate all future @37L videos. In addition, if you have any suggestions for other important video content with information that is up to date as of 2022, then please provide me links on YouTube in PM.

It is my deep conviction that high-quality video content in Russian language is the most important growth point for popularizing Zcash in Russian-speaking countries.

May I know how you managed to dub the videos? What kind of software or services that you use? I would love to do this someday for languages that I know.

Also, a reminder that Zcash Grants has changed their branding.

I order dubbing on kwork (this is a freelancing site) from a professional studio - one of the most popular voices in the Russian-speaking segment of YouTube.
For editing I use movavi (https://www.movavi.com/).

Wow, great to see work put into the dubbing of a very important video. Thanks for all your efforts as a Zcash Ambassador. In my opinion, works like this should qualify for funding from @ZcashGrants.

I’d even go so far as to encourage being proactive, moving fast, by granting retroactive funding for things like this. I’m not saying ambassadors should ever expect retroactive funding but I’d prefer ZCG proactively ask for receipts and retroactively fund things like this.

What I’d prefer not to see or encourage is ambassadors submitting grant applications for everything they “might” get funded through a grant. Retroactive funding is one way to help prevent that.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! Nothing motivates more than positive feedback. As for me personally, I myself am strongly motivated by our idea to make Zcash global money and therefore making content about the coin has become a part of my life. Something like a hobby backed by a grand purpose. However, participation in the ambassador program and rewards allow me to reach a completely new level that was previously inaccessible to me - the translation of video content. It’s really cool! Many thanks to the organizers!

A few updates and announcements:

  • Trends resigned as an ambassador on April 1.

  • We replaced Trends with two new ambassadors: @Michae2xl from Brazil and @Zoz from Saudi Arabia. They will both serve the remaining two-month initial trial period.

  • We made @BostonZcash an “honorary ambassador.” They declined compensation, but we wanted to extend them the title because they are a long-time active member of the Zcash community who often hosts physical meetups and does a terrific job supporting the ambassadors.

The current ambassadors are:
