Hi everyone! I would like to summarize my application for Zcash Community Grant.

Applicant background:

zkApe is a Turkish newsletter about zero knowledge technologies. With zkApe, you can find project developments, updates, interesting publications, podcasts about #zeroknowledge technology in the crypto universe. zkApe’s goal is to increase community access to knowledge by producing content about zero knowledge technology in the local language (Turkish). The newsletter, which is published every 15 days, has a total of 335 registered email followers and 1600+ Twitter followers.

The new issue of the bulletin, which has been published 19 so far, is being prepared.

First, let’s define the problem.

Problems

  • Low awareness in Turkish crypto community of Zcash.

  • Low awareness of the Zcash ZK technology.

  • Lack of knowledge about the importance of zero knowledge technologies.

  • Lack of knowledge Zcash Turkish-speaking community

  • Language barrier

What I suggest?

Grant will be used to sponsor an existing Turkish newsletter with Zcash messaging and a few dedicated posts explaining Zcash and its benefits. The grant will also include marketing across Twitter campaigns, promotions and general engagement across the Turkish community.

This grant will help expand and promote the use of Zcash in the Turkish crypto community, an already very active group in crypto that can continue expanding. By sponsoring the newsletter and campaigning Zcash, we hope to grow the base of Turkish users.

Outputs

The final output created is the content and serves as a guide for any user new to Zcash. I aim to reach new people and potential Zcash users with content. In addition, this communication activity will serve to increase the awareness of Zcash. The basic approach in the communication process is to present non-misleading content to increase the awareness of the readers.

The timing of the newsletter is pretty clear. Newsletter is shared twice a month (the beginning of the month and the middle of the month) In addition to the existing zkApe content, Zcash developments are featured more prominently. Also, the content level will increase with the Zcash forum and the team’s information feed.

The biggest output will be the increase in awareness of Zcash in a community where it is not involved at all. This proposal contains awareness, new users, a new community and a lot of potential for the next step.

Execution

Execution: 6 month period including 12 newsletters, 6 twitter threads, and Turkish language video tutorial.

Workflow

  1. preparing a content list for the newsletter

  2. Adding Zcash developments and feature introduction, for example how to contents

  3. Draft completion and Q&A process

  4. Proofreading

  5. Publishing

  6. Distribution and announcement on social media accounts

  7. Answering questions or directing them to the team

Thanks for your relpy! @tokidoki The main difference from the ambassador program of this proposal is that;

with zkApe, the message given with sponsored content will reach much more people. These followers are completely following the newsletter about zero knowledge. So in fact, it is the closest persons to all the values of Zcash.I think this gives quite an advantage. The ambassador should definitely be. This proposal supports the ambassador program and lays the groundwork in a positive way.

Implementing this proposal before the Ambassador program will make the Ambassador’s job much easier in the future and will enable us to reach an audience that follows a completely zero-knowledge publication.

I like your proposal. It would be great if you could join the Zcash Ambassadors program, where this proposal you can develop and expand it. We need an ambassador in Turkey :pray:

I see it more likely that this proposal can be integrated into your role as an Ambassador, rather than as a separate project.

That is why I agree with tokidoki that you should join the Global Ambassador Program.

hello @yoditar , thank you for your feedback. My primary focus is to develop the newsletter and benefit the ecosystem. Being an ambassador with a sponsored content project is two different works. You can think of this idea as sponsoring a media tools.

An Ambassador is needed, but that is not my focus. I hope i will help the person who will become an ambassador.

Thank you for your response! The Turkish Ambassador should definitely be but I am not interest this work. I always supports the ambassadors in a positive way and hope il will help the ambassador.
