Toomim Bros GPU mining software and cloud mining

Sorry for your loss.

So, you dont want to do it the right way?
Ok, i got it.

If you wish to sell your account or contract to someone else, we will facilitate the transfer of ownership.

No, i didnt lose anything, i’ve been in this game for too long.
Its my friend, who was a bit too excited and bought some hashes…
But, he doesnt speak english.

So i decided, to ask Toomin what he thinks about it.
But he’s right, All paid orders are final…

So whats, done is done, i guess.
I hope Toomin bros, will add more hash, to the buyers of the contracts.

You guys should at least do the right thing and if there is an optimized algorithm to match what was previously paid for.

If an R9 290 did 30 H/S and now there is an algo that does 45H/S with an R9 290, then upgrade everyones contract by 50%.

You guys seem like a legit business compared to Genesis-Mining and you should do the right thing. I’m not saying offer refunds because like you said before “market conditions change, etc” but since this is a brand new algorithm its common sense that eventually there are optimizations along the way.

You guys will make tons of money either way. And its just bad karma and bad business to keeps everyones hashrate capped.

You know nobody wants those.

You often quote some other example of a no refund purchase, like your apples example, somehow you equate your software sales to an apple stand or stock purchase or a hand of blackjack. There are a lot of services that offer refunds in certain time periods if better offers are made.

I also agree that people didn’t just purchase a service with you. You stated many times people were gambling on your proprietary software. Which of course was never a good idea considering how easy equihash is to implement. You failed to mention that to the community as well.

In either case I wouldn’t expect future business going well with practices like this.

all money and no risk makes john a dull boy

I’ll enjoy watching your business crumble. The complaints are only just beginning. Why you keep comparing cloud mining to the stock market I’m not sure. You use customer funds to buy equipment, and then refuse to increase their hash rate. What an extremely shady business you guys are running.

When you are forced to integrate open source code into your project, because your software is not as superior as you thought, will that be a reality check for you guys?

You guys could have done the right thing and still prospered, but instead you got greedy. You could have stolen all of GM customers, and then some and been pioneers in the cloud mining space. Instead this has just become a lesson on greed.

Hi Jonathan, check you messages please. Whats the preferred way to contact you?

We will be contacting auction winners soon, probably in around 2 hours.

Jesus you sound like you came straight from r/bitcoin. If you don’t want to do business with these guys, move-on! It was made very clear from the get go that profit potential from these contracts would be a gamble and that all sales would be final. Everyone knew that going in!

&If Toomim Bros continues to be the brutally honest, fair, & transparent business that they’ve been so far I hope they grow to be a big part of the Zcash community.

Thanks. It’s nice to know that not everybody hates me now that the market has changed.

This isn’t exactly accurate. The customers here trusted toomim when he claimed their software was worth as much as it was. They may have not have been honest or upfront with the strength of their IP. Now jtoomim couldn’t have known that others would free their software that competes with his, however as a developer you must have a sense of the potential for a discovery to be recreated. It would have been nice to at least see some caution or warning. The other cloud providers anticipated this.

I am still not saying it is their fault that anyone would take a fair, open, honest, bad deal. But why would anyone take a bad deal? There must have been some confusion about how advanced their software is.

People don’t hate you because the market has changed. People hate you because the market has changed, and you’re still deciding to be greedy even though you’re in a position to do something about it. You can play semantics all day with your paragraphs, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a cash grab.

I hope they are a big part of the Zcash community too, but only if they’re treating their customers fairly. What have the Toomin bros done for the zcash community so far besides extract a large swathe of money, and then be a douche about it? A swathe of money that they are now using to mine zcash for their own profit. Only a fool would believe that they didn’t use customer money to buy those gpu’s.

Maybe Toomin can use one of the open source miners and provide more hashpower that way. As PT Barnum said “there’s a sucker born every minute”.

Maybe Toomin [sic] can use one of the open source miners and provide more hashpower that way

Nope, our miner is still faster than all of the open source miners. It’s even faster than the fastest incomplete open-source solver (which cannot currently be used to mine).

That’s missing the point though. We said many times that we wouldn’t be changing the hashrate if market conditions changed, or if our code changed, or if other people’s code changed. Now that those things have happened, people are asking us to do exactly what we said we wouldn’t do.

nicehash and ourselves have the code placed in miners already. There is either an issue with the host setting up the blake state for this solver or the solver is incorrect atm. We should know in a few hours.

Oh my bad bud, you didn’t realize there could be competition! So yea turns out Toomim Bros aren’t the only people working on GPU miners! WTF!! WHY DIDN"T THEY TELL EVERYONE!?!?!

I was the competition  I just have the feels bad man for others.

such a sweetheart
