Yeah, that is the 2017 remake tho. I remember when the first one was released. I got called Renton for quite a while after that. (no I wasn’t a smack head, but had a similar physique, face and hair cut. now I am old n fat.)

It looks like I might get a good pass over it. I will have to dig out my SDR (Software Defined Radio) stuff. I hope I can find it in time. At least I know where all my antennae (antennas?) are. Thanks would have completely missed it.

I don’t keep up to date with this stuff (I like watching Dr Becky on youtube, she is the new Patrick Moore, in my personal opinion) so I do a lot of star gazing and have seen the ISS a few times.
But I have loads of kit from all sorts of projects left over - so if any strange tech thing comes up let me know plz. you seem to have really good filters and sources set up.
lol is that discobot/sysysbot telling us to get a room? or do I need to @everyone (I really hope that doesn’t work if it does, sorry everyone.)

So for an actual movie suggestion, Dune 
This is the scifi channel version, its less abstract and follows the book a little more closely, I really like this version
So after some new hardware (all in all about $100) and some work I decoded a little HRPT from GOES 16, it was a temporary setup to test the software, gonna mount it more sturdy and get the dongles weatherproofed
but initial results are promising! Heres 16 with enhancement and 17 (which orbits over the Pacific)

Unfortunately Cicada is dead. 
I would recommend as a pretty good ARG - Catghost. Start at the beginning - download the games from the youtube description of each episode. fiddle with the website. and enjoy a pretty slow but novel and cool ARG.
The next one I would suggest is for grownups. and it deals with some very serious and really dark horrible themes through the lens of a playstation game.
On the surface you wont notice anything too creepy (I cant think of any NSFW content in it, it is just once you start putting the clues together [it kinda reflects a real history of events] it is chilling, and pretty horrific in parts.
Again start at the beginning and go through the vids and see what you can see.
I have been following both from the very start. I recommend reignbots channel and asic noirs channel for fan theories on them. Reignbot is an especially good “creepy” youtube channel.
A858 is the one tho… see where that rabbit hole leads.

Not a great fan of UnchartedX but hey.
And I really think this is how they made the stones/walls: (there has been further developments on this, but this is the best at describing it - the development re enforce this idea.)
Ancient Architects i think is a really good channel. He changes his mind quite a bit but explains why.
This is an interesting take on the walls themselves, and why they are randomly placed, tho maybe not so random after all.
People seem to hate his cadence, doesnt bother me. The constant downward inflection is better than a constant upward inflection. (think cali valley girl, where every statement sounds like a question, Australians do it too sometimes.) - questions in English are meant to upwardly inflect at the end.

Here’s a neat thing I found, and open-source radio astronomy telescope that’s free to use, I’m not sure where the ground station is but it’s primarily for measuring the hydrogen line which basically is the radiation from neutral hydrogen gas as it moves from a higher to lower energy state and essentially allows you to measure the arms of our galaxy via hydrogen radiation, its neat

These were taken over the course of the past 12 hours, those humps in the graph are hydrogen dense regions and indicate individual spiral arms of the Milky Way
