When is unpaid balance paid

RE hashing a conversation that seems to be had on the forum’s at least once a week about pools. I’m going to make it very short, since a simple search of the forums and you will find the oh so in depth conversations on it.
Flypool (because it’s currently the most popular) you will get paid less for your shares but you will be paid more often (because they find more blocks), and as a result over a 3 day or 7 day time you should see a higher return.
Other pools (because the are not as popular as flypool) you will get paid more for your shares, when it finds a block, but you will get paid less often (because flypool finds more blocks). Over a 1 to 3 day test you may receive more than Flypool. Over a 3 to 7 day period the amount you receive may be equal to or less than Flypool, but currently it is very rare that it would be more.

This is all subject to change if others decide to leave the more popular pool and go the the second largest, or ??

You will quickly find Slush has it’s own issues. Very high fee, little to no activity on their mobile app and severe pool hopping issues to name a few. I absolutely love the Slush interface, but the issues they do have are pretty significant.

Good luck!

Thank you so much for dusting off your SJW cloack and coming all the way down here to answer a question that was never asked.

The reason why slush was quicker in this test is really down to the limited time of the test. That was a known factor.

The OP (me) was simply asking what is the real threshold for payment.

The answer from support was “slightly more than the threshold amount” which was set to 0.001
My question was just how much more? How do I know how much is enough.
Yes pedantic but also given that it was 0.0010382 which rounded to 0.001 it does make a reasonable question (I know it was that since that was the amount paid out).

So mr citric acid while your input is valued and I am more informed after reading your post, please don’t claim to be put upon for volunteering an answer to a question that was never asked and missing the original question entirely.

So the test is now finished, I have no miners running any more. I was a math tourist, a newby expecting accuracy.
Sorry if I have not confirmed to your mining expectations through mining forevermore.
Thanks to those who helped it was a flaw in the rounding.

@jezjones24 my first post to your question more accurate, and was close to the answer you received in your support question.
The post you seem to have an issue with was a glitch on the forums that caused it to post here. It was an answer to another forum post/question. Since I had both windows open at the same time (by accident) when I clicked to post the response that gave you the additional information posted in the wrong topic.

Your wonderful reply and others like you is why I have stopped answering a lot of the forum questions and helping people find an answer/solution. I infrequently answer questions here, and usually only do when they are unique ( like your question was) or no one has replied in two to three days. I know and understand what it’s like to be stuck, and even if it is a simple thread bump to catch someone else’s attention helps someone not feel left out.

Thanks for asking a great question, helping provide an answer that most of us assumed but did not know with precise “accuracy”.

and with a simple postscript: I greatly appreciate you reminding me why I do this as infrequent as I do.

I am glad we were able to help each other in some way.

One thing i realised in this thread was the change in people that will likely come as time progresses. I am like the hippy who found the secret surf beach (already populated by the cool guys) only to lead the way for the resorts, while still thinking I’m some explorer.
I am a prime example of someone who doesn’t know that much about crypto but has enough knowledge to be both annoying and partially right enough to not be slapped down.

With the rise in all crypto interest, everyone and their dog will be down here asking stupid questions, i even know a teacher who is going to turn their lab into a mine for a day to demo the processes… it’ll be like the zoo.
Old diehards like yourself have shared your kindness, wisdom and knowledge to thankless muppets enough times to continue to waste your life with even more green idiots.

Take some comfort that I at least made an effort to be sarcastic and a little creative in how i rebuked you. Whether i came out looking like a dick or not is up to the internet to decide (probably did).
