Congrats to @hanh and @zerodartz! I’m genuinely glad that a year of work lies ahead of us.
And of course, thank you to the community for your trust. The field of candidates was incredibly strong, and receiving your support is both motivating and inspiring.
Sometimes people outside of crypto ask me what I do. And every time, I realize how difficult it is to explain. Not because it’s complicated, but because it almost sounds unbelievable. Especially when I don’t want to go into personal details. So I usually refer to something from a previous chapter of my life.
But here, I can say it honestly. What we have is one of the rarest and strongest forms of human collaboration. People with shared values find ways to self-organize and move toward a common mission. They collaborate, they debate, and they look for balance. And they are not afraid to speak up when that balance is lost. There is no administration here, and no single person who punishes you for making a mistake. There is responsibility to the idea and to each other. People are judged by their actions and their thinking. And anyone can be trusted with managing shared funds, even without knowing each other personally, as long as it’s clear they are committed to the mission and to the community.
I don’t know how to explain this model to people who have never experienced it. But I do know this: I was incredibly lucky to find all of you. This has become something truly valuable to me, and a central priority in my life at this stage.

Thanks to everyone who engaged seriously with my thread and the underlying framework.
I’ll continue contributing in public on proposal clarity, verification surfaces, and grant-evaluation hygiene.
I’ve also prepared an opt-in disclosure template for applicants and evaluators. I’ll share it once formatting and positioning are fully settled.

congrats @artkor and @hanh some of my favourites, i do think we had many more very good candidates. i hope to see as active participation at next election in the summer.
thanks for all the support, im blown away. its an honor and a huge responsibility to decide which grants will help to make Zcash better, improve shielded pools and usage and get more new eyes here during the next year.
also everyone who has time, please keep giving feedback to the new grants you think are most important. i also really liked seeing much more critical feedback on some grants during the election time. lets keep it up going forward.

With great power, comes great responsibility.
The community now looks to the 5 members of the ZCG to responsibly steward the distribution of the historical allocation of dev rewards.
The ecosystem has never been in such great need getting the basics right while also having a large amount of funds to do it with.
At the same time, this will be looked back on as the make or break moment for the entire concept of dev rewards.
When evaluating proposals, I hope that you compare value to Zcash against the value of burning the requested ZEC, as that is the true cost to the protocol.
I do not offer congratulations, though winning the election is a form of recognition from your peers, as this role is a public service in the somber matter of spending other people’s money, which comes with some personal sacrifice and duty.
Instead I offer my respects, and I salute you.

Governance has been moving in the correct direction for some time. But we can’t forget that nothing moves in the right direction automagically. Momentum can be lost. Even well-set courses can drift.
Someone always has to push the boulder, while convincing our peers and stakeholders at the same time.
To my fellow candidates (new and old) I hope you will stay. This community needs more champions, now more than ever before.
