Background: I have 4-5 years of experience in the cryptocurrency field, during which I have undertaken extensive work, particularly in privacy-focused projects.For about a year, I have been leading the Zcash Turkey team, successfully building a community from scratch, and we continue to make progress. My areas of expertise include community management, developing social media strategies, content creation, and organizing targeted campaigns to enhance brand visibility. I have a proven track record in building and sustaining thriving communities and fostering collaborations aligned with the project’s goals. Additionally, my experience extends to involvement in various social projects, further enriching my ability to bring value to communities.

Background: Although Mustafa is relatively new to our team, he has been with us for about 3-4 months. He is a university student and has made significant contributions to us, particularly with English videos and street interviews. Due to Tuamor’s military service, we believe Mustafa has recently done an excellent job and has played an important role in taking our team to the next level.

The journey we started individually has been continuing for almost a year. We are working from the ground up to build a strong and organic community.
Project Purpose and Goals:
This project aims to introduce Zcash to a wider audience in Turkey, raise awareness about financial privacy, and build a strong Turkish Zcash community. By combining Turkey’s interest in cryptocurrencies with Zcash’s advanced privacy technology, we seek to inform people about this innovative project and encourage its adoption.
Our Goals:
Raising Awareness: Educating individuals in Turkey about financial privacy and Zcash technologies.
Education and Content Creation: Providing comprehensive information through social media, YouTube, blogs, and events.
Community Building: Creating an active Turkish Zcash community on Telegram, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
Long-Term Growth: Increasing the use of Zcash in Turkey and growing the community in a sustainable way.
Local Events: Organizing events to provide people with accurate information about “Zcash Privacy.”
As we continue to move forward in line with all these goals, we are proud to present our past statistics transparently and remain sustainable.
Proposed Problem
The primary challenge this project aims to address is the lack of awareness and understanding of financial privacy and Zcash’s innovative technology in Turkey. Despite the growing interest in cryptocurrencies, most individuals in Turkey remain unaware of privacy-focused solutions like Zcash, which could empower them to manage their finances securely and privately.
Additionally, there is a noticeable gap in localized resources, educational content, and community-driven initiatives about Zcash in Turkey. Without these, potential users cannot fully grasp the benefits of Zcash or feel encouraged to become part of its ecosystem. This gap hinders Zcash’s adoption and limits its visibility in a region with significant cryptocurrency activity.
By addressing these challenges, this project aims to bridge the knowledge gap, foster community engagement, and promote the adoption of Zcash in Turkey.
Proposed Solution
The Zcash Turkey Team will consist of three people: Batuhan, Bulut, and Mustafa.
Awareness and Education Campaigns
To promote the technological advantages offered by Zcash in Turkey and raise awareness about financial privacy, we will produce content for social media and YouTube.
As part of this initiative:
Social Media Content: Engaging and informative social media materials highlighting financial privacy and the technologies offered by Zcash will be prepared and presented in a simple and accessible way to reach a wide audience.
Video Series: A series of videos will include current news and fundamental information about Zcash.
We are already actively carrying out all these efforts on a regular basis. Here, I am including both X statistics and links to our latest reports. Fundamental steps have been taken for a strong community, and progress is continuing smoothly.
Purpose: To introduce Zcash to a wider audience in Turkey by engaging with people through social media, online, and in-person activities, and by addressing their needs.
Ensuring that all resources related to Zcash are accessible in Turkish.
Providing one-on-one support to the community.
Organizing plans through the Zbase initiative by inviting privacy-focused guests.
Hosting social media competitions.
Participating in events.
As a team, we are taking on all responsibilities related to Zcash to bring the Turkish community to the highest level.

Technical Approach
Core Activities:
Participation in events and organizations in Turkey.
Zcash video series (YouTube).
Management and moderation of channels such as Telegram, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
In this proposal, an additional monthly fund of USD 700 is requested specifically for events. This amount will be held in a separate wallet and used exclusively for upcoming events.
This budget will cover AMA sessions, reward-based Twitter campaigns, local events, and crypto-related participation. Any unused portion of the event budget will be returned (or carried over to the next period) after reporting.
A significant portion of the budget was used while attending the IBW event.
Additionally, we have a remaining event balance of $700 from the previous period.
The estimated budget for Zcash Turkey will be used to cover the working expenses of the team members.

As the Zcash Türkiye team, we are pleased to enter a new reporting period.
While the Zcash ecosystem continues to progress, we keep providing people in Türkiye with accurate resources.
We sincerely thank everyone who has supported us throughout this process.
In the past month, we made a total of 64 posts, maintaining a consistent content schedule with an average of 2 posts per day.
We have observed that Instagram’s algorithm generates more engagement with Reels videos than with static images. Therefore, we plan to focus more on Reels content in the upcoming period.
The number of participants on Telegram has been slightly lower compared to previous months. However, we have an active and friendly group; our members truly enjoy chatting, sharing ideas, and engaging within the community.
Our primary goal this month is to grow our Telegram community and increase active participation. We plan to keep members engaged through interaction-focused content, mini-events, and community-centered posts. Our target for this month is to increase our current member count (181) to over 200.
We successfully held our first Live X Event and received extremely positive feedback. This success reflects the strong connection we’ve built with our community and our vision of progressing together. From now on, we are launching weekly live streams on X, aiming to provide our community with consistent, valuable content.
We continue to work tirelessly for better and faster growth. On this journey with our community, we are building a stronger ecosystem with every step and striving to reach even greater milestones together.
In addition, we are putting significant effort into Zbase content. We’ve started incorporating the Zcash logo into our videos and aligning our content with the values of the Zcash community. This way, Zbase will grow together with the Zcash ecosystem, enhancing both content quality and community engagement.

We’ve been continuing to publish articles on Medium, and it looks like we’re building a real reader community — which makes us really happy. Maybe if we start sharing ecosystem summaries more often and reach around 8–10 articles per month, things could get even better.

I am pleased to note that we gained 41 new followers compared to the previous month. With our consistent posts and regular information sharing, we continue to build and grow a solid audience.
We experienced a setback regarding YouTube long-form videos, and this month we will add 3 additional videos to make up for it. I would also like to note that we continue sharing short videos
Our Telegram group continues to grow. After the recent price movements, many new people joined the group. However, we warned those whose main focus was the price, and we banned those who continued, because our goal is to build an informed community. Maybe in the coming days, we can create a Turkish ZEC Price Group. This way, people can speak freely
As a team, we continue working to bring Zcash to more people and provide accurate resources. We share all developments happening globally in Turkish on our accounts within a maximum of 24 hours, ensuring timely information flow. We are putting in effort to maintain this system. Lastly;
This month has been quite challenging for me on a personal level. Unfortunately, we had to leave the place where we first established Zbase. Due to poor internet infrastructure and equipment damage caused by heavy rain, I experienced significant setbacks. I am currently searching for a suitable new location for Zbase.
In addition, I dealt with illnesses and some private matters that I cannot share. Despite everything, I want you to know that I have done everything possible to ensure that our work continues without interruption.
On a different note, although it is not legally allowed at the moment (since accepting crypto payments is prohibited in Türkiye), I opened a rice shop. Soon, I will place stickers indicating that we accept ZEC payments. This means I will become the first business in Türkiye to accept ZEC payments!
Of course, I must do this in a fully compliant way. Therefore, if a customer wants to pay with ZEC, I will offer a 10% discount. I will keep the ZEC in my wallet, add the equivalent amount in Turkish lira to the business, and issue an invoice. This way, I can accept ZEC payments while also fulfilling all legal obligations.

We launched an initiative called Zbase and announced it on the forum. Our goal was to create a privacy-focused podcast and interview platform. We set up a small office and published three episodes.
However, due to heavy rainfall and ongoing internet connectivity issues, we have been searching for a new location for some time. We aim to continue the series and keep spreading the importance of privacy by conducting interviews with new guests.
ZecLearn is a website that will become active in the near future. It is an initiative designed to allow people to learn about Zcash while earning small rewards.

We do face some challenges in Türkiye. Other privacy-focused projects, as well as VPN providers and exchanges, are currently weak when it comes to building active communities and organizing events locally. We have reached out to several VPNs and exchanges to propose joint Space sessions or quiz-based events, but we have consistently received negative responses.
As a result, in the new year, we aim to create our own major initiatives and event formats, where we can host guests independently and continue growing the community.
