Hi all,
Providing a quick progress report here. We’re aiming to have all our videos done in about two weeks (finally!). After they’re all finished, we’ll prioritize creating supporting promotional materials and releasing them ASAP. Of course, I’ll provide more updates/info once we get closer to release time.

It feels like it’s been two weeks already, but have all the videos been completed and submitted? When exactly should I keep waiting? Your video quality is really excellent, but you seem to be lacking in keeping promises. There hasn’t been any promotional material either… I oppose supporting a project with over $100,000 in next funding that doesn’t keep its promises.
I’d like to feel the same way but their content quality is just tooo good. Because of that I’ll give them a pass and back them again. But come on Zcash Media please 
give us something, just one video at least.

Hi all,
Quick update here, we’ve submitted all videos except for one (“Psychology”), which is almost finished. Our next steps are to finish the remaining video in order to wrap up Milestone 1, finalize the video release schedule, make short-form promotional content to supplement the release of long-form videos, and add any finishing touches to the videos prior to release. We can’t yet give a firm date for the first video release other than to say it is ASAP once we finish the above steps. Currently, we are aiming for a cadence of publishing one long-form video per month. Awareness of the long-form videos and the channel will be supported with regular publishing of short-form content. Once we are a bit further along, we will share the estimated release schedule.

Can we please stop with the “ASAP” updates since we’ve been hearing them for the last 10 months. It’s always “a few more weeks” or something else including redirecting resources off of the Zcash project (which boggles my mind given how delayed this whole thing is).
Why does every major project with Zcash turn into either a bunch of missed deadlines, continual scope creep or some combination of the two?

If they’re all ready why not release all of them. This drip feeding is absolutely pointless. You’ll lose momentum and interest.
If you insist that you are going to drip feed them, at least do one a week. Enough to create suspense, and also not long enough to lose momentum/interest.
One video a months is the worst thing you can. @David_Heisenberg @aquietinvestor can you guys reconsider the release schedule.

Absolute minimum
I have a hard time seeing how the release of one video per month will generate meaningful engagement. Algorithms reward consistent posts.
One long-form post per week w/ two-three weekly shorts is a reasonable target if you want to build momentum across platforms like Youtube. Which I’m guessing is the primary platform of distribution for the release? will there be an X campaign tied to the video release?

We have submitted the remaining video (“Psychology”) to ZCG/ZF, marking the completion of Milestone 1. We will now request the Milestone 1 payout so that we can keep working towards distribution and new content.

imo, if the first milestone of this grant is to be paid, the videos must be released and the grant reviewed. Before any future work or payment is discussed.
This delay of delivery has gone on far too long and has already left a stain on the Zcash grant system, Zcash community funding and Zcash content creators, broadly.
There is no excuse for the lack of community communication and collaboration that the Zcash Media (37L) team has shown us. In this way, their behavior in execution of the grant has not reflected what was stated in the proposal.
Q. How will Zcash Media synergize with other grassroots Zcash education campaigns?
A. Zcash Media will explore coordinating with ZecHub, the Global Ambassadors, ECC, and ZF
to share our content, brainstorm on ideas, share tradecraft, etc. We believe that we can all learn
from and support each other.
note to ZCG: The Zcash Media 2023 proposal on the ZCG grant platform has been edited since originally published. Specifically, the timeline was changed for the milestones.
Original timeline is still in the Zcash Media 2023 Proposal PDF.
ZCG proposals should be version-tracked, if not unchangeable, so we can at least see when, and what, changes are made.

its a shame nothing like dat has happened. the community is here waiting to brainstorm or help and its months of silence between updates.
imo part of community should also be able to review the videos to get a bigger sentiment of what was actually made. at the moment its all based on trust. we need it to be more verifiable also(trustless).
the videos might be very good, but theres no proof not even a single picture, clip of examples or anyting. it shouldnt be this big secret imo.

The real big secret is that they’re planning to release one video per month. One per month. 1 video per MONTH zerodartz. Let that sink in.
