Zcash Türkiye University Tour 2026

Great. Every team already has its own local communities, and everyone is trying to grow those communities. We agree on that.

What we’re talking about here is a little different. We want to create a network specifically for university students, particularly students who are interested in Blockchain.

It would be a space where students studying at universities in different countries and speaking different languages can come together around Zcash, meet each other, and potentially work together on Zcash-related projects across different countries. This space would be completely decentralized and would not be affiliated with any particular local community.

I was actually going to mention this in the coming days. As the Zcash Türkiye team, after our events, we are planning to provide around $100 each month to one of the university Blockchain clubs participating in this network and encourage them to organize a small Zcash-focused event. Nothing huge, just a small meetup, presentation, workshop, or something similar. I think this would be a good way to keep the network active while also continuously sharing new information and developments.

We also have ideas like having one student representative at each university.

So the main difference is this: Unlike the existing Telegram communities, this group would not be focused on a specific country or tied to an existing community. It would specifically bring together university students who are interested in Blockchain.

We are already going to implement this in Türkiye. There would also be nothing preventing students from other communities or countries from joining if they want to. We are not asking for any funding for this Telegram group or for managing it.

The goal is to introduce university students to the Zcash ecosystem, encourage them to think about and build things around Zcash, help them make new connections and friendships, and occasionally provide small incentives to keep that interest alive.

Also, thanks to Vibe Coding, more and more people are starting to build their own projects. For example, you can look at the Rlay Hub event. We organized a mini hackathon at an event with around 50–60 participants, and 10 different projects came out of it.

I think that alone is a strong enough reason to bring university students who are interested in building and experimenting closer to the Zcash ecosystem.
