I tried to do this and got the following:
Can anyone help?
Hey - I just did this for the second time. Is there away to fix bugs without DL the whole block chain each time?
in the screenshot you posted, it tells you the exact issue. Once you do what it says, it should pick up from the last synced block

Looks like your download of the blockchain is corrupt. Try to reindex.

Thanks, I figured that so I just DL the whole thing again. I got to 93% this time. What is the re index command?
Is it a re scan?

Hi mate
I got to the same issue again. 3 Questions
Edit - I read this - and I have a slightly better idea now. However, reading that, I am wondering how to upgrade using the zcash wallet? Everything has occurred inside the zcash wallet experience. In my Linux box (which I could not run for AGP compatibility reasons), I could easily update zcash. In windows, with this wallet, I am unsure how.
Happy to be shown how to apply the value above for now, but I wonder is there a long term solution?
Hello @anon47418038! First I want to say thank you for making the Windows Zcash wallet. I have found it useful so far. Today I ran into an error on the latest 1.0.12 release. When I try to send zcash from my T-addr to my Z-addr, the wallet gives me this error:
general exception: std::bad_alloc
Do you know what might be causing this issue and how I might solve it?
donāt know if this was already asked, but will there be a a new version against spectre and meltdown for zcash4win, if necessary at all?
That affects central processing units, to protect your information/data you should make sure you have the latest updates from Intel, AMD, O/S and smart devices. Warning, some updates have been known to crash the system.
Here is an article that breaks it down
and
Win 10.

I canāt see a way to edit my previous post, but I found the answer to my question here:
The error is letting me know that I do not have enough RAM allocated to the Zcash process.

Hi. Iām running zcash4win and it looks like the transaction log only shows the mot recent 100 transactions from my wallet. Is there anyway I can get of list of all the transactions? According the the blockchain explorer, I have about 1,500 transactions from my account.
Thanks!

I had the same problem. I donāt know if there is a way to see them all, what I ended up doing was backing up the wallet and uninstalling, delete files, and then reinstalling to force the blockchain to redownload and just imported the private Keys when the GUI opened up. Then exported about one months worth at a time to a CVS file as they populate.

Lol. Thatās what Iāll have to end up doing unless someone has a more elegant solution.
BTW, with the ethereum wallet, thereās a file folder called chaindata. If you delete it, itāll force the wallet to re-download the blockchain. It looks like for zcash4win, there are 2 folders - blocks and chainstate. Iāll try renaming them to see if it will force a re-download and will let you know.
