Zecwallet Lite: login error, update, fund search

Yep, the sync is completed. If you still have the issue even after trying to restore the wallet in a different wallet app, I’m not sure what else that I can suggest.

In the restored wallet, can you see some of your transaction history or not at all?

If I understand correctly, there is no transaction history at all.

This is my transaction for which I am looking for the sender address.
The thing is, I can’t find this transaction in the restored Zecwallet Lite. Could this indicate that there is another address with a private key?

Yep. Then you must have used a different wallet address.

@tokidoki but this information confirms 100% that there can be no other addresses, and my notebook with the seed phrase, reinforces this confirmation.
I am completely confused (:

@BrunchTime @Shawn @Autotunafish @tokidoki @aiyadt I would very much like to hear your opinion, based on your experience, on points 3, 4, and 5. Where could the Zecwallet-light-wallet.dat file with the correct balance have gone?
The thing is that I opened Zecwallet.Lite-1.7.8-win with the correct (increased) balance, in transactions observed familiar amounts of transfers.

@Autotunafish that’s not what I’m asking.
I had a Zecwallet.Lite-1.1.4-win which showed the correct balance. After upgrading Zecwallet.Lite-1.1.4-win to Zecwallet.Lite-1.7.8-win and -rescan, the balance became wrong.
What is the reason?

Odds are that it was displaying wrong before however that may still be the case now but i’m unsure as to what would cause that after a full restart. That post up there is about the dat file locations. If you have control of the address where the funds in question are supposed to be (which is assumed) and are also fully synced then the balance it holds should be displayed correctly.

@Autotunafish before the Zecwallet.Lite-1.7.8-win update, the balance was always displayed correctly. And this time after updating Zecwallet.Lite-1.1.4-win the balance is displayed, but with more coins. But after -rescan balance is displayed, but with less coins. Even if I have a presumably second address with the correct balance, and located data files to this address, why when I update to Zecwallet.Lite-1.7.8-win the balance is not displayed correctly?

Another option you could try is imoporting your zecwallet seed phrase into a new instance of a different wallet that accepts a seed phrase, I brlieve warpwallet and jaxx works this way and then you can see if your zecwallet balance varies ftom what another wallet displays.

@Autotunafish I ran the test using Ywallet and help from @hanh. Additionally, 20 addresses were generated that passed -rescan. The result, the balance is not correct.

Do the amounts differ or are they the same?

@BrunchTime @Shawn @Autotunafish @tokidoki @aiyadt one of my transaction hash: 698a3a8bb119dcb5ce85935ca8b5b8cc66d3814bbf2e3a8a1b009437df9efcb0
Many things are not clear to me. Please, if possible, from your experience, give an explanation of this hash transaction.
Sorry to bother you over the weekend. Thank you in advance.

They are the same.

Uh yeah that tx paid 22 zec in tx fees

I could be wrong, so I ask for your help.

You paid 23 ZEC in fees? Why?

Sorry to say that this looks like a major error.

When you send a transaction the fee should be set to 0.00001 ZEC.

if you set the fee to 23, then those funds went to the miners and cannot be refunded. They will not show back up in your wallet regardless of how you restore it.

The 23.27… was the total for the whole thing and only 1 was actually transacted while the other 22 were set to, like Shawn said, to pay the miners and its non-reversible Typically the tx fee is 0.00001.

How could this have happened?
I only sent one coin on this transaction hash Jun 30, 2021, 10:33 AM UTC. I carefully checked all the data before sending, the fee is 0.00001. After that, once a month, monthly, I went to my wallet and checked the balance amount. This was happening for 9 months, the balance was correct. You know the rest of the story.
