Its default lightwalletd server seems down. I managed to get the PC version running because it allows you to switch servers when it opens, but I guess mobile doesn’t?

It doesn’t until you get past the first screen

I believe there was a patch or two issued after the upgrades to support orchard, but nothing since.

With all due respect, I understand the frustration and even share some of it as a Zcasher myself. I appreciate the enthusiasm but it’s hard for the people trying to provide any help to actually leave notifications on if what we will come to is to aggressive comments like these in every single topic.

we are all adults here, so I appeal to your good judgement in contributing to a constructive and helpful environment AT LEAST on support related topics.

Which version are you running? Can you post a screenshot of the screen?

Or more importantly, do you have your seed phrase? If you do, you should just switch to another working wallet.

Zingo Labs’ Wallet “Zingo!” is the closest to ZecWallet in terms of code. I’d try that one first.

I’ve been in a few sticky situations in the last couple of years and Ywallet has always bailed me out and recovered my funds. There may be some further bumps in the road because of the primitive way that Zecwallet handled multiple “accounts”. You might need to import multiple secrets into Ywallet IIRC. But, if you still have all of the secrets, you should be able to access your funds and spend them, if you are patient.

how can i remove zec from my ledger

i sent from zec wallet lite and i guess they were shielded

I think that loading your ledger seed phrase into Ywallet should recover your zec and

cc @hanh would you kindly confirm if this is so?

Yesterday I installed Ywallet desktop and there’s an option literally for importing from ledger :eyes:

Depends on which ledger app you used.

If you used the old transparent-only which is available in Ledger Live, then you can just import the seed phrase in a wallet.

If you used the shielded app that has to be side loaded, then you need to use the “import from ledger” option in Ywallet. This is because the shielded app used a custom key derivation which is not compatible with regular key derivation.

I had exact same problem with Zcash wallet light.
I installed Ywallet and connect my Zcashlite but Ywallet doesn’t show the funds and it says 0 Zcash. Any idea why that happened ? Someone told me Ywallet takes ages to upload but it’s been one day already.

If the wallet is finished syncing, then the balance will show. If it’s not fully synced, then you may have to wait. There’s the possibility that funds were held in subsequently generated addresses in Zecwallet light. In which case you will need to create subscounts to restore them properly.
This was the method that zecwallet light had to restore addresses on its own platform. Sapling addresses can export the private key and circumvent but you UAs cannot and so seed would need to be imported and all addresses recreated and then resyncd.

The thing is I have been waiting for funds to appear on Ywallet for more than 1.5 days now. I get that sync does take time but should not take more than 1.5days right ?
