Yes, it could potentially. If the numbers are still moving up-and-down continuously and not solid at (time of post) this number, like shown, then its not done
Depends on your internet. On broadband speed, it takes between 1 to 2 hours.
Ok so what I see now is numbers jumping and keep going up but at same time, I see solid number eg 123456 But that 123456 number changes according to jumping numbers.
There is no harm in restarting the app. You will not lose the progress you have made.
Keep us posted on your progress.
Zingo! Wallet could be an alternative to sync your funds as well if you had generated additional addresses.
Well numbers are keep going up and down and solid number stays same for a minute and going up again after one minute but I am loosing my hope tbh. It’s already 2-3 days . I might try Zingo and see what’s gonna happen.
It’s sad that you are going through this. Thank you for your quick responses and collaboration, we very much appreciate your time to report your experience, it’s really helpful for the developers.
Another option you have is using SbS capable wallets like NightHawk or Unstoppable. (*)
Wallets featuring spend-before-sync might give you faster access to your funds, at the expense of not having a full detail of your transaction history that quick, they will make your funds spendable faster if that’s your need, and then they’ll report the history details later. (much later).
Thanks for your patience and keep us posted of any developments.
(*) EDGE also has Spend before sync, but their non-custodial model is a bit different and recovering from seed might not be as straight forward as in other non-custodial wallets.
Ok, after 4 days of anxiety and nightmares, finally funds appeared on YWallet. Thank you so much for help everyone.
Friends, I apologize for the possibly stupid questions, but I can’t get my money back after re-reading the entire forum. I used ZecWalletLite, saved the seeds, used the seeds in this application, carried out several synchronizations, but the funds never appeared. There’s also no story. I will be glad to receive any help!
Zecwallet is no longer supported by it’s core developer. You can use another wallet like Nighthawk, Ywallet, or Zingo to restore your Zcash
Can you try Zingo? It is based on ZecWallet it might work
I’m making some test myself. With a ZecWallet Lite of mine. I’m going to import that same seed into Ywallet and see what it brings.
I don’t use t-addresses so I won’t be able to sort out any issues related to what with this smoke test I’m doing.
If you are using transparent funds it will depend on how many t addresses you spun out.
I’ll try to come back later with more ideas on how to help out.
After adding all wallets, start the synchronization from the block height of the oldest wallet, if you still don’t see your funds, possibly your funds are not in the main address and you will have to do another procedure through YWallet.
I still do not see my funds.
If you have generated additional shielded or transparent addresses in ZWL, they will not be seen by YWallet by default. You will need to create sub accounts to recover them or scan transparent addesses. FAQ :: YWallet
Here in the forum there are other posts where they have helped users to solve this problem of importing wallets created in ZWL into YWallet.
There is a simpler procedure if you have the wallet.zwl file :
It is almost the same story if that wallet has funds in other addresses created from ZWL, YWallet only sees the funds from the main address, to retrieve the other funds other procedures must be performed.
By the way, there is a way to access ZWL if you use version 1.8.8.
The problem basically is that ZWL does not connect to an active server, then what you need to do is to change the server URI in the settings.json file, more info:
This is in case you want to try ZWL first which will surely show you the funds when syncing and then you can move those funds to the main address, or to a new wallet created recently so you don’t have to go through all the spam in case your wallets are very old.
I confirm that Ywallet restores the ZWL main account properly. The user’s funds must be in sub accounts. Please follow the guides posted by @Edicksonjga and let us know how it went.
I’m sorry about what you are going through. If you have the proper keys backed. up as you informed there will be a way of restoring them.
I can also confirm that I can use Zecwallet lite (desktop) with public mainnet https://mainnet.lightwalletd.com:9067. Changing the apps config to switch server might be the fastest way around the problem provided that you were not using the mobile apps. Then it could be more complicated to achieve without manipulating your device’s local storage
Misfortune never comes alone. There wouldn’t be any problems if everything wasn’t so complicated for me. The fact is that one wallet was on an iOS phone, there was also one on Linux, which died, it was not possible to restore the system to a working state, but all the system files seem to be alive. I’m not in a big hurry to withdraw these funds since I didn’t plan to sell my coins at such a low price. In any case, thanks for the advice, I’ll try it.
PS I tried to scan the accounts, but it didn’t end well.
Are your funds in transparent addresses?
If you are using a computer, my recommendation is to use ZWL and restore, as the addresses were created in that wallet, it will detect your funds.
YWallet will eventually get your funds, but you must do the above mentioned procedures and take into account that depending on whether your funds are in transparent or shielded addresses, the procedure will be different.
Clicking on settings does nothing, the settings are inaccessible.
Why do you want to enter Settings?
The server change must be done from the settings.json file.
