Looks good…

Do you have the 1070s? If not, do you know where you will be able to buy 6 at a reasonable price? I would advise against spending too much on 1070s. They are just starting to get very expensive for a reasonable payback time.

+5000$ rig they are overpriced and almost unavailable now

Thanks for all your replies.

Few words about 1070s.
I got two in my pc (SLI) gonna use them and put back my old GPU,
dont have time to play on that pc so its not a big deal.
I bought those fairly cheap on after christmas sale,
don’t want to search now for receipt but im almost sure that I paid even less than 400$.
One I bought few days ago on let’s say local amazon/ebay (about 450$)
Other three i’m planning to buy in local shop so i don’t have any problem with warranty,
but for those three I need to wait about 2 weeks (530$)

+5000$? Definitely not:)
Even if i will need to buy all of the GPU now from the shop (6x530$)
I will not paid more than 4200$ for rig.
Maybe if you want to buy “ready to go” rig then maybe you need to pay +5000$
but i’m planning to do all by my own (open air frame also) plus i got already three GPUs.

If I did not have that 1070s probably i will think more about rx 570 pulse
(they are in good price, atleast where i live) or other GPU.
But i think that for now I just want to go straight forward with the same GPU.

*all the prices are approximately, I just used my bank currency calculator

Look at actual prices https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s?k=1070
I paid 373$ for each of my seven 1070

What is a reasonable price for a 1070 these days?

Did you said “reasonable”? :joy: :joy: They are priced like 1080s

He said reasonable.

Are you suggesting I get 1080 instead? Then I will also get more hash, so it’s a win-win, no?

Stay with 1070 or 1060 to switch to etherum if needed as rescue plan

These are the decisions that only you can make. You need to pull your own cost/benefit analysis and determine what is right for what you are looking to do. At this point I am buying two card types. 1070s and 1080 ti. 1080 ti isn’t good for some algorithms though. I know that when I buy it and makes plans accordingly.

I will not spend more than $480 for a 1070 at this point. Even that is tough to spend and usually needs to be a premium card to justify the higher price. Ideally, I was looking to spend about 440 a card. I will likely be in for closer to 460 though.

Thanks! That is some great insight. I’m new to mining, and I’m trying to figure out which of the 28 different 1070 they have in my local shop is the right one for my needs. I don’t even know what my needs are, so I appreciate any links you can provide to make the decision easier.

You will be lucky if you have 2 to choose from. They are pretty much OOS
everywhere. I like the 1070s with a back plate and multiple fans

Ha ha if your shop does have 28 different 1070s in stock, the best return right now could be reselling hardware on Ebay!

Thanks for the tip.

Does anyone else have a link?
