Biostar 12GPU ATX Motherboard TB250 BTC PRO V.2 To Be Released Soon (End June/Beg July)

dunnonif attachment worked but mobo is tb250 btc pro v6.x while your is some hm…p…something. could be diffetent

ah…hehe youbwere faster…well no idea…i managed to get 6 working with miner option disabled otherwise nothing

im going to install a biostar 12 board in the next day on one 8 GPU miner so ill have a closer look then

awesome! …20…character…

managed to get 7 of 7 working…procedure

-had one with mining off in bios (one in the main pcie the 16x one)
installed windows, drivers etc
-added reminder of 6 gpu after shutdown
-installed drivers (one was not working - 6/7)
-set to mining 6 (i dont think this is important)
-went to windows didnt help
-did the 6+ mining option in bios
and it worked

If i start with 6+ gpu from start it didnt work in like 12h of work… yes not an expert

weird, i have reinstalled windows on mine multiple times without changing a thing in bios and with 6+ enabled

ok i guess you dont need the biostar guide LOL most of its in chinese anyways

im not fluent in chinese yet:) but thanks

Hi Cryptomined, would you be able to upload the PDF? It will help those of us who are literate in Mandarin

I am able to detect all 12 GPU from the bios, but I am only able to boot with 8/12 1080 Ti into Windows 10 successfully. The moment I have the 9th card inserted, the system will be stuck at the windows boot up screen and refuse to boot up. The moment I reboot with only 8 GPU inserted, everything works fine.

I have done the following:

  • update BIOS to latest
  • reinstall OS in UEFI

I wonder if anyone encounter similar issue before?

Model: BTC-250-BTC Pro v6
BIOS: B25DF710 (July 10, 2017)
OS: Windows 10 x64 Pro
RAM: 8GB

i think thats a known windows limitation, of better a driver limitation.

Suggest you use Ubuntu. If you really want to use Windows, then use Ubuntu as a Hypervisor with PCI-e passthru and run 2 windows VM’s.

he rises from the dead
we missed you, where you been?

btw, dont know where i put the biostar recommendations
but basically it was
change to 6+ vga
disable csm
enable uefi video
16 gigs - 32 gigs of ram

i found thelast 3 recommendations useless, especially the ram recommendation, that was total overkill… totally not necessary… infact im sure you could even run it with 4gigs or ram… 16 gigs… 32 gigs… made no difference over 8.

asrocks recommendation was 8 gigs, minimum was 4gigs

but yeah, about 12 nvidia in windows… ppl seem to get 8 to mine max… however mine did boot and install all 12 p106, it wouldnt mine with a single one when i had that many installed.

im not sure how you confirmed this… did you actually have it running and mining?

very very very busy, a busy farmer is a good farmer no? :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah, but not out of the box. Simply the driver is in its default state limited to 8. I think because the driver address is limited to 1 single byte (which holds 8 bits)

basically what we did is using 2 drivers, e.g. gtx 1070 382.05 and 387.78 and rebranding one of them showing as a AMD in a different driver space. And it works fine, as long as you use your monitor on the unbranded version.

in short, its does work, but required some hacking. All them newbies are better off either using Ubuntu, of ESXi with VT-d and run windows VM’s

@cryptomined Ive been fighting this mobo for the last 3 days trying to make it work with 6 nvidia 1070s and 6 rx570, any tips on how you managed to do it.

I have win10 pro fully updated and upgraded to creators, bios updated, tried with 4g enabled and disabled, tried installing drivers manually, got as far as 6 rx570 and one gtx1070 or 6 gtx1070 and one rx570, the 570s have your combined drivers.

I have really runned out of ideas, maybe Ill resort to ethos if I find a way to use it via wifi.

Any tips will be really appreciated.

not really any tips, it was straight forward, turn onmining mode 6+
dont need 4g

Then Im really out of options, gona give ubuntu a try, thanks anyway.

Just an update, I was not able to get 12 gpus to work in win10, ubuntu 16.04 or ethos, I give up, 5 days of struggle for nothing, gonna just make 2 rigs of 6 gpus.

Did it work out? Can we try 12x AMDs? (esp. on linux)
