This could have an effect
I switched back to FP.
Lower latency, quicker payouts and more frequent.
I’m sure it would avg out over time and I liked Nanopools UI better but FP seems better
I was getting wild swings in my hashrate reported on nano, to the point I thought rigs were crashing because they were only reporting half hashrate
my 2c
Sad, but i also did that today, idk what happened but nanopool profitability dropping like hell last 2days, even when difficulty drop, it shows 20% lower profit than it should be eventho the share count is normal. Hate to do this, but it is just too much while ZEC price is recovering
After 7 days, My payout is higher with NP over FP.
The lower latency is true, but that is it.
I’m noticing equal payout frequency at Nanopool (that is your setting by the way), and I’m seeing higher profits from Nanopool - 5-7% more depending on the day.
I’m am staying with Nanopool. I cannot in good faith support Flypool since they have more than 51% of the hashpower.
What bugs me on Nanopool is that it seems to be slower then FP.
Funds are not building up that fast as on FP, but in the end, NP pays at the same time and mostly more.
And by building up, I mean the unconfirmed balance, it stays 0 for ages and all of a sudden it fills up.
I think due to the lower block findings comparing to Flypool.
Having said that, that’s something I will survive. I still got 200 sols more in the Pool, then on FP.
So still staying on Nanopool.
Planning on running my 1080ti rigs 24 on both pools and then switch them, I still have the funny idea there is Sol power dissapearing on Flypool
I am pretty sure this has been asked somewhere but can somebody explain how they figure out their actual hashrate or provide a link to the process? I’m either blind or retarded because I don’t seem to b e able to find it. Thanks in advance.
My highest payout on flypool is only bigger than my two smallest nanopool payouts
Last one on NP was 15hr at .0103
Last one on FP was 15h at .01003
At least 3-5% better
Nanopool also seems to be showing fast buildup. I’m not sure what you’re saying.
I think due to the lower block findings comparing to Flypool.
This doesn’t matter, at all.
When Nanopool does find a block you get a higher proportion of payouts compared to Flypool. It ends up being the same or more. This seems to be a fallacy of new miners that a pool that gets more blocks due to having more miners will have higher payouts. This just isn’t true because those payouts are distributed among more users.
Your right about the quick building. But it sometimes takes some time when compared to FP. That’s something I have tot get used too as a user. But allready did. I am aware of how Pools work. Didn’t implie that I would get more on FP, couse I am convinced I get a little more on Nano.
My last payout was just shy 12 hrs (ive got a screen shot to prove it), haven’t seen that on FP since last year
Sorry np, but 10h for 0.01 ZEC with 2600sol/s -that’s too long
On fp it needs almost 3/4 for mining this…
I think here are some software developers why does nobody open a pool with decreasing fees depending on how long someone is mining right there.
E.g.: 50% the first 24h
25% the next 24h
12.5% the next and so on …
I think that would be fair, keep jumpers away and motivates to stay …
That sucks, im only pushing 1.4 khs
I noticed my initial payout is the highest so far, but I think that has something to do with the amount of time it was mining before it actually showed up and started averaging, but still doing better than FP
I’m testing at a scale of >100kH/s. It’s easier to notice small percentage changes at a larger scale.
You should generate approximately 0.0138 zec every 10 hours given current difficulty.
Agreed.
How can we get this done?
One idea…can / should the Zcash Foundation provide financial incentives to pool operators so that they can offer a better deal to miners making a switch less painful?
Less painful than what? I switched to NP and there wasn’t any pain. In fact I am receiving more Zec on NP over FP.
sample :
i mine on eu servers.
on fp for 26 h earned 0.1534 zec 22-23 april / may vary max. 27 when i restart some miner or test some /
on np for 26 h earned 0.143 zec
i use zecproxy , but this is useful with 3 rigs at least.
if you want to verify aprox. profit make this calculation
now on fp hashrate 269400 Ks , i have 11.5 Ks
my % when find block is 11.5/269400 = 0.0000426874
1 block reward - 10 zec =0.0000426874 * 10 = 0.000426874
mined block per h - 14.17
0.000426874*14.17 = 0.0060488122 * 24 = 0.1451714922 / 24 h /
now on np hashrate 59057 Ks , i have 11.9 Ks
my % when find block is 11.9/59057 = 0.0002015002
1 block reward - 10 zec = 0.0002015002 * 10 = 0.0020150025
mined block per d - 67
0.0020150025*67 =0.1350051645 / 24 h /
sorry but this is sad truth , big hash on np but less profit / for me /
i try some pools , because i don’t want to mine on fp for same reason but i plan to buy some new rigs and i need $. the interesting thing is that even if they steal, i earn more than other pool
I had hopes for 2miners / this done last month / but now and there are crazy things ![]()
I think that more bad things is dev fee which make dev richest in mining.
You do realize you can not test like that, especially if you were already mining on one pool already?
You have to have a zero unconfirmed balance on both pools to do an accurate test, then 24 hours for an accurate average to be established then another 24 hours of mining to get a generic baseline.
As for me, the math may show what it should be, I know what my payout on FP has been for the last 16 months and what it now is on NP for the past 9/10 days and it is greater on NP. In fact in looking at everything I can say that I am earning 0.04 zec more per day
