I have been mining in a VM and want to move zcash to the host. How do you copy and resume mining?

What do I need to do in order to copy zcash and resume mining with out loosing anything?

Thanks.

If you’ve been pool-mining just copy the miner’s folder on the host; then relaunch the miner.
I guess that should do it.

What exactly do you mean by losing anything? Do you mean move the wallet to the host? Move your coins to a new wallet?

What I mean is I have installed zcash on a VM Ubuntu server.

I want to copy it (wallet and miner) to another server outside the VM.
I am solo mining Is that possible?

Thanks.

Typically inside the ~/.zcash folder you will have your wallet.dat file which contains your wallet and the blocks folder which contains the blockchain.
Reinstalling zcash on the new host and then moving the whole .zcash folder on the new machine should take care of moving the wallet and blockchain db, I guess. But I haven’t done that yet, so I don’t know if there are any gotchas.
On the other hand you’ve got nothing to loose if you try.
