Ledger wallet balance issue (resolved)

yes I think so too, hoping it does not come to this. their support is so slow.

The thing is I don’t think the people at Ledger or the devs or whoever really ever expected the thing to have to do much more than btc style transparent only txs and while that is (or was :grimacing:) ok there have been definite strides taken towards moving away from that (sounds weird, haiku). For instance, shielded coinbase txs; the reward payout amount for the block is visible but not the recipient, wasn’t always that way (the only way I can figure to potentially do that, like if I ran a pool, is just have no normally-default taddys in the node but idk).

I have a similar problem, the support of the ledger is silent … As it was - I went into the ledger live on the phone - I saw that the zec balance had become exactly twice as large. uninstalled and installed again. Nothing has changed. I sent some coins to my account - and the balance decreased by 15%. What the hell. I can not send from the account - it gives an error

Appreciate it Shawn. Hopefully we can all get their attention. Sad it takes this long for them to at least make a tweet and acknowledge this issue. All they have done is give us a robo reply tweet that says open a support ticket. I filled one out just for the sake of it, no response.

update, i created a new zcash account in live ledger. I transferred coins to it from a third source, then sent it back, and so on. Generally with the new account no problems. balances shows correct, sending works. But with the first account that shows the wrong balance - still no change.

That is odd…

We should all raid this space tomorrow and demand answers:

checked xpub in explorer - https://zecblockexplorer.com/ . Total Received - this is what is reflected in the balance in the ledger application. Final Balance - this is the number of coins that should actually be.

Still unable to withdraw since 2 days. Just one transaction went through yesterday without errors which let me send no more than 1/34th of my balance,
I installed a ledger live on a new computer and re-synchronized my account with my ledger and now have 3x my original balance in token! (It was 2 times on my first computer), and still unable to send anything. Getting an RPC error cannot send.

Please help raise awareness, it is unacceptable to keep us hostage. This would have been BTC or ETH, this would have been resolved in less than an hour! We need people with influence like @zooko and members of the foundation to help out. This is not an isolated issue. All member of my family and friends living in different part of the world are facing the same issue.

We should let the CTO of Ledger on twitter know: @P3b7_

If no sign of life from them today, I will move forward to contact some specialized press for a story. This will create bad press for ZEC which I really don’t want, but people should know that they are taking the funds of their users in hostage and not giving any explanation for more than 48h.

No such thing as bad publicity , it’s disappointing , Ledger s behavior…

I did check the explorer for my address a minute ago and all look ok there , but yeah still .

I agree and feel the same way… ridiculous.

– Same issues for me btw, my mobile ledger live was showing half balance, and PC ledger live double. After clearing the cache on both devices, the balances are the same but still double what they should be.

You should be able to retrieve the seed from the ledger app. Suggest you to do so and write it down.
