Miner- Claymore's Zcash Miner

too much man. uv it (dual mine eth) runs at about 140W/card, you can calculate 170 + 50 system + 20% spare (makes total 1488)

Been getting alot of private messages so I Will post right here

For anyone with Radeon 7950 / 7970 / 280X who wants more juice out of ZEC mining you can adjust your timings.

Mine went from 43 Sol/s —> 52 Sol/s. Running at 1100 / 1575

THIS IS ONLY FOR HYNIX MEMORY H5GQ2H24MFR . I will post Elpida and Samsung memory types later.

Basically you need to backup your BIOS ROM file with Atiwinflash and open with a HexEditor.

Here is the original bios strap for a Reference Radeon 7950.

Basically what this does is updates the higher memory frequencies with tighter straps. For more info visit:

This also makes ETH mining faster but only by 0.5MH/s but makes a huge difference with ZEC.

I have to input Enter key often when console freezes to restart mining. Why?

Other thread said 6x RX 480 with claymore was 1150 Watts. Should be able to get it down to 150 W system wide. I wonder what 280x Watt’s per sol are since it’s 80% more watts, usually.

around 160 watts @ 53 sol/s.

now running claymore I get 1sol/2W, with genoil it was 1sol/2.6W
still very low consumption

Anyone care to share their Sapphire 11260-01-20G settings? Mine are running at ~50 flashed with my ETH rom.

Some people refer to this card as Sapphire Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX 480 OC 8G

Hi guys I have rx470s 8gb, wondering if you guys have some good settings I can use to get some better sol/s?

Also what are the best cards to buy based on your own results?

Thanks

Config.txt:
-zpool zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6666
-zwal taddress.worker
-zpsw x
-mport 0
-r 60

Start.bat
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ZecMiner64.exe

The rest has to do with custom overclocks/roms etc

All my cards are stock

Fury (Non X) - 51 Sols/s
Fury X - 53 Sol/s
RX480 - 42 Sol/s

You the man troll…

I have the exact settings set up except for mport and “r”… will read up to see what they are…

Yes I was talking more about the mem anc clock etc…

getting around 40 on the 470 stock…

-r

Restart miner mode. “-r 0” (default) - restart miner if something wrong with GPU. “-r -1” - disable automatic restarting. -r >20 - restart miner if something
wrong with GPU or by timer. For example, “-r 60” - restart miner every hour or when some GPU failed.
“-r 1” closes miner and execute “reboot.bat” file (“reboot.bash” or “reboot.sh” for Linux version) in the miner directory (if exists) if some GPU failed.
So you can create “reboot.bat” file and perform some actions, for example, reboot system if you put this line there: “shutdown /r /t 5 /f”.

Those settings have been rock solid for me on many rigs.

Be sure to disable ULPS though if you are having instability issues.

Thanks bro, will get that done now.

yeah I have not measured yet actually, i am curious but same - i dont want to stop them mining for even a second :stuck_out_tongue:

you should have been using SilerntArmy Miner, mine have been mining straight since yesterday, no restarts :+1:

when I tested out claymore… 1 GPU failed in like 5-10… miner tried to restart itself and failed. he rushed to get it out so he could get his 2.5% … rushed it without caring if it actually worked well… bad :-1:

what sols does the silentarmy miner give compared to this??

same., it is as if claymore just took silent army and rebranded it in his own miner package.
on my 7 GPU rig with modded bios 470s and a 480 I get 300+ (300-309~) with both claymore and silent army - its as if they are identical in hashrates on pretty much everything (hard to tell exactly as you see the SOls/s always fluctuate - they are never constant each cycle.

I use 7 GPU in these videos, first is silentarmy vid, second is claymore.
you will see for your own eyes, claymore is nothing special… and silentarmy will release a windows version soon - so if you only want to use windows - you wont be paying that 2.5% fee much longer.

Wow, its you…Ive been watching those videos on youtube…

Have you done a step by step video on adding a moded bios on the rx470 8gb cards?

new to all this and I know there is risk involved so hoping for a step by step?

thnx. i only use windows so i’ll keep an eye out

dunno about silentarmy, but for me claymore is very stable + compared to genoil produces 30% more hashes

yes, those were my first videos, i did them because there was so much confusion about how to mod which cards and it is such a scary process to flash your cards, yet in reality its very simple and nothing to be worried about…, i thought they would help people through the process. there was only one other video at the time and it only dealt with the 470s (using the reference) … people were asking a lot about 480s so i decided to help out and make some vids… people liked them, so I did 470 vids also
