Miner- SILENTARMY v5

Thanks  Glad to be able to help.

Yes looks like it can not be beat for price/performance. Im thinking about buying more now

thanks gege

Did I hit the CPU jackpot?

my 5820k running 5 out of 6 cores
38.6 sols/s

that and my gtx 1070 was hitting 62 sols/s

For heaven’s sake what kind of solver are you running on that nvidia?

It actually crashed on it running nheqminer_x64_AVX with cuda and cpu after 30 minutes
so I went back to safely and quietly mining cpu only

looks like there is a lot of room for growth with the NVidia cards, id like to see them hashing higher instead of AMD always taking the cake

Thats not only NV? NV+CPU, right?

the 38 sols/s is with just my CPU
my gtx 1070 was like 24 sols/s

That’s better. Since you wrote ā€œmy gtx 1070 was hitting 62 sols/sā€

technically what I wrote was
that and my gtx 1070 was hitting 62 sols/s
Is this miner for solo mining only?

Can it be used with a pool?

If you are power conscious yes. If not, you might get better ROI from 290/390.

It’s already pool mining for me locally, working on getting the nonce right from the block header for solo mining now.

Also again this is a kernel, not a miner

is your cpu overclocked? i’m getting 47.7 sols/s on my 5820k @ 4.5ghz, -t 11. so if your cpu is stock, i’d say were getting expected numbers

I wonder will it work in Hyper-V? They say its RemoteFX is passing all requests to host GPU…

I actually only have mine at 3.8 so that does sound about right… maybe I should try some overclocking and add another thread and see how it does. I didn’t want to mess it up like I did my past gpu though

And I just now added another thread and it’s hitting 40 sols/s It’s nice having a cpu that can keep up with a gpu

how many threads u running?

all day I’ve been running 10 but just upped it to 11.

I just upped the clock to 4.2 and didn’t see any improvement

…maybe I’ll just play it safe since it is my work computer…

I’m running AMDAPPSDK 2.9.1 with fglrx-updates 2:15.200-0ubuntu4.2 on Ubuntu 15.04 with the following benchmarks

SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeonā„¢ R9 390 8G @ 1150/1550 MHz: 2 x 17.7 = 35.4 sol/s

XFX Radeon R9 380 2GB GDDR5 @ 850/1630 MHz: 1 x 19.4 sol/s

Wonderful miner, I really hope that you win the contest!
I have a bunch of 2GB cards, with decent sol-rate (as you can see above). It would be great if you could fix the intensity, because running two instances on those cards is not possible with the 1744.8 MB allocation.

I would be interested to see anyone get some 7950 and 280 run. We are getting 0sols on the tahiti.

Would there be a reason for buying one with 8BG as opposed to 4GB memory?
