update to latest drivers… I tried a couple old ones which didn’t work and then updated to latest on my 1070 acx and was hitting 21 without an overclock
I was using nheqminer_v0.2a_suprnova

Awesome job! I need to eat my shorts now that you actually released a reasonably fast open sourced miner. From the Toonim thread “The GPU miner completes one Equihash run in 45 ms (approx. 41.7 Sol/s) on an R9 290.” Though, I’m not convinced price per watt is going to be better than some of the CPU miners out there if they are really claiming 6+ Sol/s per thread! I haven’t been able to test or verify those yet.
Getting approximate 37.25 Sols/s on each of my Sapphire r290 cards. Haven’t messed with OC yet. Edit: environment, standard fglrx drivers on Ubuntu 64bit 14.04 LTS.
Temps stable around 73C, so they aren’t being worked too hard yet. I can’t find my Kill-a-watt meter, but this 4x GPU rig was configured to max out at 14.9AMPs while mining Scrypt-N optimized. I’m going to guess it’s much less than that.
Can you connect to a pool with this version?

@bitjedi Hi! Could you share how you built this solver into an integrated miner on LTS 14.04? That’s my stock Ethereum platform (running all Nanos), and I’d rather not move to Ubuntu 16, since I have no real need to do so, and it would mean a lot of downtime (22 rigs). Any assistance would be much appreciated! Thanks!

It’s a full miner, but it’s only compatible with his linked pool for now. No stratum support yet. Read the directions and create a config.txt with your ZEC address for mining. Gl/hf! I’m guessing since the pool fee is currently 4%, that’s how they will make money. If you are looking at other stratum miners like genoil, you need to make sure that you are getting the best bang for your buck. I don’t mind paying a high pool fee as the hash increase in this version more than makes up for it.
I literally, dusted off old miners I haven’t touched in a couple of years and was surprised they worked. I upgraded from BAMT USB boot sticks to SSD drives, but that’s all.
Oh yeah, I’m the USA OpenRigs distributor…or what they used to be, so I have like 30-40 aluminum GPU frames in my basement waiting for homes. LMK if you are in the USA and are building out something, I’ll just charge a little over shipping if you need one.
Note: at the moment SILENTARMY is a solver only not a full miner. It can’t connect to pools to mine. I will be working on this in the near future.
I think I’ll wait for the silentarmy full miner. 4% is greedy, and he’s using the OP’s solver, no less! Ethermine has a Zcash pool now (http://zcash.flypool.org), and I’m sure dr_pra will support the OP’s GPU miner when it’s complete. flypool.org is 0% fee, for the moment, and will probably be 1% when we go live, like the ethermine/ethpool fees.

Actually, the minimum of 4 ZEC payout on this pool, I probably will mine elsewhere, even if it means a different / less efficient miner.
4 ZEC is f*cking insane ! I am trying another miner too. Does not make any sense to waste hashing power in something that I have rare chance of reaching the target !
Agree with most others, I could kinda see the 4% as pool/mining software fee but the 4 ZEC minimum seems a bit high especially considering the small block rewards at the start.
The point of the 4 ZEC payout is that most people mining will never be able to cash out. I’d recommend people stay away unless they have a lot of hashrate they’re willing to commit - even on testnet I wasn’t able to get to 4 ZEC w/ a 100 Sol/s rig. I’ll just let my Radeons mine ETH until nicehashdev, genoil or voxelot ports SA to their miners.
Maybe, we can give them the benefit of the doubt as 4% and 4 coins was the default for the main primecoin pool. For ZEC it should be lowered to 0.01 ZEC payout or similar.
