Mining Configuration Info VS Output Performance

I have created this topic in order to keep our Mining solution centralized and easy to see what is the best solution Hardware and Software vs Output Performance.

I hope many of the miners will share the full information, like in this example

  **Hardware**
  GPU - 3 x XFX Radeon™ RX 480, 8GB GDDR5, 256-bit = 450 ~ H\s ( Sol )
  Mainboard - MSI Z170A Gaming M5
  CPU - i7 6700 K
  RAM - Corsair 16GB (2X8), DDR4, CL15, 3000MHz, Radiator Vengeance LPX Blue, 1.35V
  PSU - Corsair HX 1200i

  **Software**
  OS - Windows 10 Pro N x64
  Miner App - Claymore v6
  Driver 16.6

    **Additional info**, like power usage:
    Power usage - 500W ( 0.5 kWh )

Happy mining !

 **Software**

@cristiycv Are your RX 480s the reference style?

EDIT: I think my slower hashrate has to do with my CPU…

Yes, do you use the latest driver ? also the Mainboard bios is updated ?

@cristiycv I think I’m on the latest drivers, but haven’t checked the MB bios yet. I will do that. I don’t have an i3, i5 or i7 CPU either. I’ve just got a cheap G series… That might be contributing to it as well. When I get home I’ll run DDU and install the latest BIOS and drivers. Thanks!

UNCLEAR: are these stock bios cards? what are the settings?

Yes, everything is 100% stock

Let’s spice a lil’ the things in here:

1xGIGABYTE R9 FURY WindForce 3X OC, 4GB, HBM, 4096 bit
CPU i7-4790 @ 4.00Ghz
and this is my result:

233 H/s …i guess i got lucky ;).

No you didn’t :joy: all R9-Furys do that at stock :stuck_out_tongue:

R9 Fury Xs are where its at 270H/s

Sapphire Radeon rx 470 4 gb = 142 H/s
Gigabyte Radeon rx 480 8 gb = 180 H/s

Didnt touch anything, plugged in and ran claymore.

I read in another thread that you had problem to run Fury with 3x Rex 480. How did you fix it? Thanks

I changed my BIOS config from GEN 2 to GEN1 and for Latency from 32 to 96.

If anyone is interested in “how to build” a modular open frame case, i suggest using “BOLCAN aluminium profile”

You can search for BOLCAN profile on google.

Example :Aluminum profile - BLOCAN® W-Profile - RK Rose+Krieger GmbH - rectangular / flat / round

Update :

Changed my Motherboard from MSI z170a Gaming M5 to MSI z97 Gaming 5.

5x RX 480
1x R9 Fury

6600k@4.2ghz + EVGA 1080@2088/5500 84%tdp
4690k@4ghz + EVGA 970@1491/3500 110%tdp
580h/s over the last 24hrs as reported by nicehash.

I just build a new open frame case ( better cooling )

AMD 5x RX 480 8GB + R9 Fury and Nvidia 2x 1070 AMP Extreme

MB : 2x Z97 Gaming 5
