Noobie question!

from bitcoin forums:

this tip from EWBF has indirectly solved my problem. Add “–eexit 1” to your miner command switches and edit your existing batch file to make them a simple restart script as exampled below. If the miner crashes it will shut down forcing it to go back to the beginning of the batch and restart the miner.

Example

:restart
miner --server us1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user address.phoop --eexit 1 --pass x --cuda_devices 0
goto restart

ill try the overclocking method it just makes me nervous. Iv read some horror stories xD

what does setting the temp at 77c actually do?

Also thanks for the restart cmd!

it will auto throttle the card/power to keep it at or below 77c (or whatever you set it at), when used with overclocking get max performance without destroying your gpu

These things are for more intelligent then I ever gave them credit for. I have 2 friends that are getting into this strictly for the money, and the learning for me has been the real payout.

Trying the overclock settings now!

Thread exited with code 77

to high then, bring it down

ok So I think I am going to mess around with this and see what I can get. What can underclocking achieve?

it yields better efficiency of sols/watts, generally you want to lower the power target and raise clock to compliment
