One year ago I first stood for ZCG. How things have changed since then!
Alongside strong leadership from our OGs - who have doubled down on the mass adoption mission: a billion shielded wallets used to spend every day…
…the Zcash community grassroots has grown, with builders and evangelists joining every day. It feels great when a new friend of Zcash appears in one of the chats, or speaks up for the first time at one of the community meetings. And it feels even better, when old friends return, reinvigorated by the visible progress!
Nowhere is that more evident than in the strong list of candidates running for ZCG this time around.
The ZCG committee has had a bumper year. As expected, both the volume and quality of grants has been on the way up. Unfortunately, along with the rise in plausible looking, AI-written, slop applications of all kinds.
Fighting AI fire-with-AI fire can only go so far. Experienced, thorough humans needed! We have a fine group on the committee serving already, but if you have had enough, guys, don’t feel the obligation to continue. The candidates here can be trusted to take the baton.
My goal remains simple: get more shielded ZEC into the latest shielded pool and into circulation as shielded, peer-to-peer electronic cash. Zcash is for spending.
More swap functionality, pre-installed wallet implementations, and improved e-commerce integration are all low-hanging fruit - ready for the right grantees to harvest, gain value for themselves and enable the wider Zcash adoption we need.
I’m standing by ready to serve. Want to know more about me? Read on here, and here.
