very excited and fired up to start, am looking forward to be onboarded
Thanks
Hello.
Iâm Ehsan Bahrami, a 33 years old man from Iran and I want to be a #Zcash ambassador in Iran, I donât doubt that I can handle the responsibility in the best way possible.
For me, introducing #Zcash to Persian is a one-year-old goal and in that matter, I added the Farsi language to the Forum and ask people on my Farsi Instagram page to join but as I expected no one showed up, after that, I decided to run a #Zcash Twitter page in Farsi and because of the lack of time I asked for a grant to drop one of my jobs and make time for the page, but I didnât get any reply and I couldnât start the Persian page but in my original page(@bitcoinbuddy121) I kept to support #Zcash and I will keep doing it.
Now that I have told you a bit about my passion to introduce #Zcash to more people, I will share some information about Iran and explain why I think Iran has the potential for the adoption of #Zcash and crypto in general. In the end, I will share some of my plans as an ambassador.
Part 1: Iranâs Economy
Iran is a large country in the middle east with a population of more than 85 million.
Iranâs GDP was $1.43T in 2021 based on The International Monetary Fund report, Also the inflation is more than 30% for three years in a row, and when GDP increase alongside inflation, itâs not a good sign in my opinion.
I believe if the economic situation stays the same then the middle class will disappear soon and we will have only two classes of people, very rich and very poor.
Thatâs the part crypto can help to save the middle class.
Also, because of Iranâs limited access to the worldâs financial markets, Persian retail investors had a few investment options including the Tehran Stock Exchangeš, real estate, and foreign currencies, But after the birth of the crypto market and because of its decentralized nature, Persian retail investors found it as a great opportunity to participate and invest in a global market.
for Persian crypto is not just another investment option, itâs an opportunity theyâve never had before, at least in the last 40 years.
Part 2: Iranâs Internet access
Iranâs internet coverage is around 95% in 2022 and most people use 4G cellular data through mobile phones to access the internet but the internet filtering is tight in Iran and platforms like Youtube, Twitter, telegram and âŚetc got filtered.
This is why VPNs are one of the basic tools, everyone use in Iran.
Also, Iran has a national Internet data center and moving towards reducing reliance on global servers for key and sensitive online services.
at the beginning of the new administration, some of Iranâs officials talked about a national internet network and suggested cutting Iran from the global internet which was widely protested by the public and other officials.
the Internet was cut off 2 times in the past during the mass protest against high inflation and each time lasted for around 2 weeks.
Part 3: Social media networks in Iran
Persians are among the greatest fans of social media networks and itâs mainly because Iran suffers from a lack of hobbies. There are no bars, parties, or dancing unless in private and hidden places and thatâs why Persians mostly interact with each other through social media platforms.
Around 75% of the people older than 18 years old use one or more platforms simultaneously.
Instagram and Whatsapp are the most widely used platform in Iran and among a few platforms, people can access without a VPN.
Whatsapp usage is around 61%, Instagram 45%, Telegram 36%, Pinterest 22%, youtube 4%, and Twitter 2%.
The cool fact is Twitter users are more effective in Iran society than others.
Part 4: Crypto market in Iran
based on the local exchanges reports, around 12 million people in Iran own Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Nobitex, the largest crypto exchange in Iran, reported in 2021, the number of its active users has grown by 728% from 390,000 users in 2020 to 3,700,000 in 2021, the youngest user is 18 years old and the oldest is 71, and the largest group of users are from 31 years old to 40 that represents 44% of the exchange users, also 84% of all users are male.
Based on reports from all major local exchanges, crypto users in Iran trade around $180M per day and around 70% of people use local platforms for trading crypto.
Also, KYC is forced and every crypto users need to complete full KYC to use the local services.
local crypto exchanges are the gateway for the flow of money in and out of the crypto market and there is no privacy when it comes to exchanging crypto to Rial² or vice versa.
Crypto regulations in Iran are soft and Iran is a crypto-friendly country, and from the Islamic perspective, crypto is considered HalalÂł.
Bitcoin mining in Iran is legal with 2 conditions, 1. miners need to get approval from the government cause the cost of electricity for mining is higher and if people try to mine crypto with regular electricity at home or in factories then its illegal, and all the mined coin plus miner device will confiscate by the government, but even with a higher electricity price, mining is very profitable in Iran.
2. Miners donât have the right to sell their mined Coins in the free market and they allow to sell their mined coins only to the Central bank of Iran in exchange for Rial, then miners can exchange the Rial with everything they like in the open market.
By now, Iranâs mining industry represents 5% of the global Bitcoin Hashrate, and because of the cheap electricity, some experts predict Iran will represent 10% of the bitcoin global Hashrate by 2025.
Part 5: why do I want to be a #Zcash ambassador in Iran?
The first reason is that I believe in the crypto market and especially in #Zcash, believing in something is different from simply loving it because there are actual reasons behind a belief.
So I will explain why I believe in crypto and I think itâs genius.
Frankly thinking too much about the financial part of crypto will not lead us to the right answers and I donât measure crypto by financial rules, seeing supply and demand as the cause is naive just like thinking the economy is about the money. The way I analyze crypto is by imagining all the possible ways that crypto can help humans and make human lives better.
The reason anything has value is the human perspective and the question is what will crypto do for humanity.
There are many things Crypto can do, for example, it can make the International transfer of value cheaper, faster, and safer, it can make a fair opportunity for everyone in the world to participate in the market, and it can create a virtual economy in parallel with the real-world economy or it can transfer funds from A to B as Milton Friedman predicted, but these reasons are not the main reason I believe in crypto, I believe in crypto because I think it can solve one the biggest threats humanity faced today.
For thousands of years, humanity ripped apart by the will and desires of some people.
Some of them separate us through our religion. Some of them separate us through our country, our skin color, our beliefs, our way of living, or our worldview.
We separate from each other so much that we started to hate each other and yet it wasnât enough, then we cracked and weaponized the nucleus of an Atom to release enormous energy to kill each other for good, and we did that before using that energy for producing the power we need to live.
If we donât stop the separation process, If we donât t accelerate the solidarity between human beings by focusing on our similarities, soon someone will start a war that will be the end of us and I think we are already late.
There is an imminent and real threat to our existence that no one should take lightly.
I think crypto can create a worldwide community and take us one step further toward erasing borderlines.
One day after many more steps, we might stop defining ourselves by the place we were born or by the language we talk, and then we can live as humanity.
If it wasnât for crypto I didnât have a Twitter account and I didnât know many people from different countries.
Because of crypto today I only have 3 Persian friends on Twitter while I have 132 friends from other countries, mostly the US.
If it wasnât for crypto I never know how much I love Americans while Iranâs and the US governments do not respect each other and try to demolish each other every day for almost 40 years.
Because of crypto my government never can convince me to participate in a war against any country.
Thatâs the main reason I believe in crypto.
Another reason that I like to work as an ambassador is that every man needs to work and itâs really good and effective if a man loves the job he is doing.
Part 6: why #Zcash is special?
Well, #Zcash is special for a few reasons,
- The story behind #Zcash
- Using Zero-knowledge proof cryptography to provide privacy
- Its exceptional community
- Its characteristics as independence and freedom preserving technology.
There are only two possibilities in any country when it comes to the governmentâs role. - government run by rational good people, in that case, they will respect freedom and privacy
- Government run by tyrant control seeking people, in that case, #Zcash technology can use against them.
For example, if donors used #Zcash instead of BTC to fund Canadian protesters there was no way for Justin Trudeauâs administration to track the funds and Covid lunacy would have stopped sooner.
Part 7: my plans as an ambassador
As an ambassador, I will choose my plans based on the sociology and culture of Iran.
Because I live in a country with high inflation during the last 3 years, I can do more with a $1000 per month and I can save some of that money for the next year when more expensive plans like renting a hotel conference room and creating a Farsi wallet and running a fast 24/7 node starts.
Also because of the same high inflation, I need payments at least one month after I start otherwise I can not make time to execute my plans as efficiently as I expected and there is no reason to do a job inefficiently.
- Manage an Instagram and Twitter page to introduce #Zcash. Share official news and events andâŚetc, in Farsi.
- Introduce and reward the most active follower every month with a T-shirt as a gift (only on Instagram)
- Pay for promoting my posts and tweets on Instagram and Twitter(if possible on Twitter from Iran) for the first year of activity.
- Hire a part-time photoshop designer to design high-quality pictures, clips, advertising Card, and bulletins.
- Send advertising bulletins to universities at the beginning of every term to introduce #Zcash to new students (3 months after the start of the program)
- Create a youtube channel in Farsi to cover #Zcash news and analyze the price charts(6 months after the start of the program)
- Rent a meeting room at one of the best hotels in Shirazâ´ and Hold monthly physical meetings one year after the start of the program to make sure the room will be full of true investors. ( without a big crowd, the meeting will have a negative effect)
- Find young and good software engineers at Shiraz University to work on a Farsi wallet that connects to a local node. (one year after the start of the program)
- Run two telegram accounts for the Persian community to discuss anything related to #Zcash and another account to inform the community about all of the content we created on all of our social media pages on all platforms. (one year after the start of the program)
- Contact local exchanges and ask them to list #Zcash.
- The final goal is to introduce #Zcash to all of the 12 million crypto users in Iran until 2026.
If my time was free or I had more capital I would do all of that without asking for a grant.
Thank you for reading my proposal.
Ehsan Bahrami.
Hi @ZcashBuddy!
Thank you for nominating yourself to be an Zcash ambassador for Iran!
First off, I am in no position to officially judge your application, however as a fellow community member I want to reach out and get a better perspective on what you intend to achieve and how. So please find my post to be helpful in a constructive way to improve your chances of getting onboarded.
Let it be known to you that I am in favor fast tracking the growth of the ambassador program. Also I believe that efforts to have more people in Iran adopt Zcash to be a valuable if not necessary pursuit.
Now let me get down to it, I will be focussing on your plans as an ambassador.
-
Manage an Instagram and Twitter page to introduce #Zcash in Farsi.
-Could you elaborate on how exactly you will go about and do this?
-How much time would this take from you?
-Do you have an social media account currently where you have related content in Farsi?-Why did you expect and or did people not show up?
-How will you measure progress w.r.t onboarding new zcashers in Iran? -
Introduce and reward the most active follower every month with a T-shirt as a gift
-What kind of tshirt?
-How will you measure the impact of this reward campaign?
-Do you have experience with running these kinds of campaigns? -
Pay for promoting my posts and tweets on Instagram and Twitter.
-What kind of posts do you want to have promoted?
-What are the metrics here, how do we know it achieves the goal of onboarding new zcashers?
-What are the costs for these kind of services?
-How is this different from âmanaging an Instagram and Twitter pageâ part? -
Hire a part-time photoshop designer to design high-quality pictures, clips, advertising Card, and bulletins.
-Do you have a designer in mind?
-What does this designer charge?
-What constitutes high-quality pictures and clips, do you have examples?
-Regarding the previous, could you elaborate on what the concrete deliverables will be?
- Do you have experience with running these kind of campaigns?
-
Send advertising bulletins to universities to introduce #Zcash to students (3 months after the start of the program)
-Which Universities?
-How well is the bulletins received?
-Why 3 months after the start of the program? -
Rent a meeting room at one of the best hotels in Shiraz and Hold monthly physical meetings one year after the start of the program to make sure the room will be full of true investors. ( without a big crowd, the meeting will have a negative effect)
-Rent a meeting room for what purpose exactly?
-How do you plan to ensure that you will have a big crowd at this event?
-Can you quantify what a big crowd means?
-Why do you think one year is required? -
Find young and good software engineers at Shiraz University to work on a Farsi wallet that connects to a local node. (one year after the start of the program)
-Would these software engineers volunteer and if not how much would you pay them?
-Technically, in what way would the âFarsi Walletâ be different from the wallets currently under development? (These have already received grants or have been set as a priority by core dev teams)
-Do you have experience with running software engineering projects? -
Run two telegram accounts for the Persian community to discuss anything related to #Zcash and another account to inform the community about all of the content we created on all of our social media pages on all platforms. (one year after the start of the program)
-Do you have some numbers on how many members your hoping to attract through this medium?
-Would you say that the three channels mentioned share the same content?
-Why would you start one year from the start with this? -
Contact local exchanges and ask them to list #Zcash.
-What exchanges are you planning to reach out to?
-In what way will you contact them? -
The final goal is to introduce #Zcash to all of the 12 million crypto users in Iran until 2026.
-Here you are mentioning a big goal, do you have prior experience with managing a communication project of this magnitude?
-How will you measure this?
-Why did you choose 2026?
Hope these questions help!
@yoditar please let me know if I missed anything.
I have interacted with @ZcashBuddy on twitter. A true Zcasher.
Zcash Abassadors are given broad freedom how to promote Zcash and financial, personal privacy. We shouldnt need to micro manage them. Its a new program and ZCG is still working it out. @yoditar is doing an awesome job as lead ambassador. Iâm sure these questions are super helpful.
@ZcashBuddy Thank you for your interest in the Global Ambassador Program and for taking the time to write such a detailed nomination. Although we believe youâre a good fit for the program, we are unfortunately not able to extend you an offer at this time due to the economic sanctions the United States has imposed on Iran. The Zcash Community Grants program is a committee under the Zcash Foundation, which is a US-domiciled 501(c)3 organization. As such, we must follow prevailing US laws and regulations.
I apologize that we did not make this more clear to the community. I will update the original post of this thread to include a disclaimer that states that citizens of the following countries are not eligible for the program due to current US-imposed sanctions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Russian held territories in Ukraine (Donetsk, Crimea, and Luhansk).
We hope youâll stay active in the Zcash community. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them to this thread, or you can PM @ZcashGrants or email us at grants@zfnd.org.
I have Zcash stickers to give away. I can mail all over the world (except some sanctioned countries). If any of the ambassadors want some, shoot me a message.
@ZcashBuddy you can use free2z.cash to collect contribution from the global Zcash community. I support your effort and would love to see you stay active in Zcash despite the situation
First of all thanks for reading my long post,
I will answer all of the questions in order.
-
Could you elaborate on how exactly you will go about and do this?
Explaining my method in full is not possible here because it will be a comprehensive book that will include psychology, Iranâs sociology, economy, politics, and culture. -
Why did you expect and or did people not show up?
It was around 1 year ago. someone in the #Zcash community offered me to create a Farsi section on the Forum, I did that and told about it to my Instagram followers(the account I abandoned) but Persians didnât like the forumâs UI and found it hard to work with. I expected that because I know Persians, the UI needs to be attractive and easy to use for Persians to use it. -
How will you measure progress w.r.t onboarding new #Zcashers in Iran?
Itâs not possible to measure that with acceptable accuracy before the development of the Farsi wallet that connects to a local node as I mentioned, but there are ways to measure it Approximately by asking them through voting polls and asking them to take pictures or screenshots from their wallets in order to win a Trezor or Safepal hardware wallet. -
How much time would this take for you?
At least 12 hours a day and maybe more when the accounts get enough attention, creating effective and high-quality content, translating official announcements and news, translating related videos and creating subtitles on them, designing proper images to express the content better, and in general, content creation alone can take up to 8 hours a day. after that the important part begins.
No question, no comment, and no direct message will be left unanswered. -
Do you have a social media account currently where you have related content in Farsi?
No, not currently because of the lack of time, but I had several accounts in the past 10 years about different subjects like agriculture, bodybuilding, crypto, politics, and selling jewelry.
My first account was about agriculture in the early days of Facebook and it was my most successful experience.
My Farsi crypto account was the last one and I abandoned it 6 or 7 months ago. -
Introduce and reward the most active follower every month with a T-shirt as a gift
-What kind of shirt?
#Zcash promoting types of T-shirts that I can simply buy from the #Zcash workshop or design here in Iran. -
How will you measure the impact of this rewarding campaign?
I donât and itâs not important. Itâs just a few T-shirts in a month. Itâs for making my account more fun. -
Do you have experience with running these kinds of campaigns?
I believe it doesnât need any special expertise. Anyone can do that even a retarded monkey. -
Pay for promoting my posts and tweets on Instagram and Twitter.
-What kind of posts do you want to have promoted?
The most liked post of the day and the posts that can benefit followers. -
What are the metrics here, how do we know it achieves the goal of onboarding new #Zcashers?
The same answer to question number 3. -
What are the costs for these kinds of services?
It depends on the number of people I want to promote the post for. -
How is this different from the âmanaging an Instagram and Twitter pageâ part?
I donât understand the question but if its means what is the difference between creating content and promoting content, then itâs like the difference between composing a music album and marketing that album.
Itâs two completely different businesses. -
Hire a part-time photoshop designer to design high-quality pictures, clips, advertising Card, and bulletins.
Do you have a designer in mind?
No, Not yet -
What does this designer charge?
It depends on the designerâs experience and creativity but I will find the best possible designer with the budget I considered for the designer.
budget management is one of the reasons I decided to leave some parts of the plan for later. But itâs not the only reason. -
What constitutes high-quality pictures and clips, do you have examples?
Iâm not an expert and thatâs why I need to hire someone to help me. but I can understand if the final result is good or not. -
Regarding the previous, could you elaborate on what the concrete deliverables will be?
As I said Iâm, not an expert in design. -
Send advertising bulletins to universities to introduce #Zcash to students (3 months after the start of the program)
-Which Universities?
There are 4 major universities in Shiraz and I will send the bulletins to all of them.
Shiraz is considered the cultural capital of Iran and itâs the fifth-largest and the sixth-most populated city in Iran.
After Tehran, Shiraz is the most important city in Iran and has some of the best universities in the country. -
How well are the bulletins received?
We donât know yet, but we will find out. -
Why 3 months after the start of the program?
Except for budget management reasons, I want to be well prepared for the students because they will be the jet engine of the Persian #Zcash community for going to the moon.
They are young and full of energy and I donât want to lose them.
If they look at the Persian #Zcash account and see 500 or 1K, followers especially on Instagram then I will lose them.
In Iran especially among the young ones, the number of any accountâs followers is equal to its legitimacy.
Anyway, I need to create a Farsi website too.
Without a website, Persian #Zcash doesnât look as strong as it is.
I donât worry about the Twitter account so much because everyone know how hard is to gain followers on Twitter but Instagram is different, and itâs easy to gain thousands of followers in a short period.
Also, Instagram is the home to 50 million Persians. -
Rent a meeting room at one of the best hotels in Shiraz and Hold monthly physical meetings one year after the start of the program to make sure the room will be full of true investors. ( without a big crowd, the meeting will have a negative effect)
Rent a meeting room for what purpose exactly?
For meeting, for discussion about #Zcash, for answering the questions, for hearing each otherâs concerns, for making a stronger Correlation between the true members, for making noise and finding new worthy members through the gravity of it.
Most importantly to provide a place for members to make friends.
Maybe we see some #Zcash weedings too. -
How do you plan to ensure that you will have a big crowd at this event?
Time will do that. One year is a long time and after one year of hard work to create a Persian #Zcash community we will have more than enough members to fill the room.
Also, a big crowd is relative to the size of the room. -
Can you quantify what a big crowd means?
It means at least 80% of the capacity of the conference room.
I can not rent a seminar hall with 1000 people capacity because it will cost $2000 for 6 hr and believe me, I can fill that hall too, but it will not add any value to our community and most of them will come for tea and cake and They probably will hurt my cause.
Based on the budget of $1000 per month and lots of other expenses, it will be a room with a capacity of 40 people.
Also, I will not invite everyone to the meetings,
I will invite only those who can add value to our community. -
Why do you think one year is required?
Because first I need to gain as many followers as I can as fast as possible, then after I reach the first milestone, I need to start to form a virtual community for #Zcash, and itâs not as easy as just saying it right now, then from that virtual community I need to identify good, worthy, and effective people among followers, after that I need to meet candidate one by one to make sure they are true investors and harmless to the community.
Then after finding at least 100 candidates and knowing them I can invite them to the meeting.
Holding a physical meeting is not only the most expensive part of the program but also comes with great responsibility. Only one bad accident in the meeting can destroy all of my efforts to create a Persian Community and hurt # Zcashâs name either.
So physical meetings can only happen after one year. -
Find young and good software engineers at Shiraz University to work on a Farsi wallet that connects to a local node. (one year after the start of the program)
Would these software engineers volunteer and if not how much would you pay them?
Nothing, they will do that for free.
Running a fast and powerful local node that works 24/7 is the only expense. -
Technically, in what way would the âFarsi Walletâ be different from the wallets currently under development? (These have already received grants or have been set as a priority by core dev teams)
The Farsi wallet will develop in a way that helps us to know how many #Zcash are stored using the wallet without revealing any other data, not even the IP.
It will be fully open-source and everyone will know about the way it works. -
Do you have experience with running software engineering projects?
No, it will be my first experience but I have some people who will help me.
-
Do you have experience with running software engineering projects?
No, it will be my first experience but I have some people who will help me. -
Run two telegram accounts for the Persian community to discuss anything related to #Zcash and another account to inform the community about all of the content we created on all of our social media pages on all platforms. (one year after the start of the program)
Do you have some numbers on how many members youâre hoping to attract through this medium?
About telegram? no, because itâs the first time I want to create a Telegram channel. -
Would you say that the three channels mentioned share the same content?
No, one of the channels is for chat, but another one only I post. -
Why would you start one year from the start with this?
To gain enough followers first.
Because a small percentage of followers will join the chatroom. -
Contact local exchanges and ask them to list #Zcash.
What exchanges are you planning to reach out to?
No bites, Aban, Excoino, Ramzinex. -
In what way will you contact them?
I call them, as the #Zcash ambassador in Iran and ask for arranging a meeting. -
The final goal is to introduce #Zcash to all of the 12 million crypto users in Iran until 2026.
Here you are mentioning a big goal, do you have prior experience with managing a communication project of this magnitude?
No. But based on #Zcash abilities itâs not that hard, especially until 2026.
I will draw investorsâ attention to #Zcash but the reason for such a goal is the #Zcash itself.
If as I expected #Zcash passes from $2000 until 2026, then it will happen. -
How will you measure this?
Local Exchanges can help us with this.
By the #Zcash local trading volume. -
Why did you choose 2026?
Because I want Bullrun to help me on this.
Is anyone from Germany? I think we could use one or a few Europe Ambassadors.
Based on Node distribution (and assuming that VPN services arenât creating a false positive) that is far and away the second most popular country for Zcashers, and in a respectable 3rd spot is France.
OMG the opportunity is amazing enough!! My name is Jake and i love spending zcash for my tacos at chipolteâŚ
@readaboutme1991 on twitter and ive been posting videos about spending zcash as frequently as my budget allows spending in these timesâŚ
Wanted to introduce myself!
I live in south florida! I got into the cypto world with $amp a little over a year ago. while researching amp, i found zcash. The privacy aspect and the integrity the ECC and Zcash community members shows, is not normal for crypto communities(one of the reasons i was drawn in). I was all in, and then my friend won tickets to consensus 2022. Zcash bash was great! getting to rock my zeros on social media and now on my cool shirts i picked up at the bash, is amazing.
Frankly, i want everyone to know about the tech that protects zcash users privacy. I want the world to know about how crypto can outweigh the negatives with the mass amounts of problem solving tech it has the potential to be. I would love to be an official ambassador and arrange monthly if not weekly meetings to spread awareness. Set up drives where you go around and educate small business on the new options available.
I currently work in the healthcare field and have been looking for new role that becomes more of a livelihood rather than a means to an end. I have experience with medical billing, executive assistant roles, Operations, Program director, case management, sales, and customer relations.
Either way. I love this community and wont ever leave! #zodler4life
Hello @readaboutme1991!
It is a pleasure to hear about your interest in The Global Ambassador Program.
Please tell us what digital content (social networks, blog, etc.) and activities you would like to do in South Florida to promote the use and adoption of Zcash.
I see you have a sales background, how would you approach promoting Zcash to get peopleâs attention?
Thank you!
Thank you for responding! Currently I have Twitter that seems to be growing in followers. I have a few of the zeros that Iâve been trying to think of a way of making a promo video featuring one spending zcash! Thatâs a log shot with my lack of animation skills but have been talking to some folks.
I think the best way to spread awareness is by word of mouth and foot to pavement. When businesses and people see the privacy aspect and speed and reliability of the network, it speaks for it self. I am new to the space so always open for suggestions but I think weekly coffee meet ups and burrito runs at chipotle would be very popular In this area. Sales in my experience is about conviction. When you practice what you preach, that is when close.
Another route would be hitting the pavement spreading awareness to all the small businesses in the area getting railed by current payment rails. So many data exploits. It should be simpler, and it can be.
These are just a few ideas that Iâve had over the last few days that I think would really help bring awareness and adoption to the space.
Thank you for your response @readaboutme1991!
In your case I think it would be helpful to know payment platforms like NOWpayments and Z-Go for merchants by @pitmutt. Handle wallets like Zecwallet Lite, Unstoppable and Nighthawk Wallet very well. And of course, having a meetup account.
Please let me know if you know all these resources and how you would use them in an activity with the community that you will convene and of course, with the companies and businesses that you will talk with to use Zcash.
And finally, what would be your strategy to make Zcash known to your audience:
How would you approach end users?
How would you approach businesses/companies?
Thank you!
@yoditar was just reading up on nowpayments and will debrief myself on z-go, and create meet up.
I am very familiar with Zecwallet and nighthawk. Was beyond excited when I heard nighthawk received spedn Sdk grant. Thereâs a lot going on in the space and I do need to familiar myself with edge and unstoppable. (The whitelist helped me familiarize myself)
A good avenue to spark interest on the consumer side is to have a meet up about a broader subject. Now youâve got your regular zcash supporters and individuals from a broader spectrum with the same goal in mind. Then you show them the use case and let everyone know. Passion is a wonderful thing. Hard to see over Twitter etc. in person when thereâs a group of ppl observing, magic happens.
Also there are alot of meeting places, clubs, yoga studios that would be a great place to build a relationship with in terms of having meetings there while also pitching the innovative services so they can see both the use case and the support from the community they serve. A lot of them also have places for brochures and pamphlets for reading material and such.
For businesses itâs really about relating and asking the questions that incite pain. Then attack from an angle of only solutions. Have an iPad handy to demonstrate the simplistic use case maybe during one of these said privacy meet ups. Small businesses are hurting right now. I believe Square charges around 3 percent for card and 4 percent for manually entered transactions and fees to transfer to main account. This area is a world renowned travel destination with boutique shops left and right missing out on revenue that when they find out what is possible, should be an easy switch. The best part is they donât have to abandon anything, just simply add another form of payment option that could potentially prevent a sale.
Thank you!
Thank you for your answers! I hope we can share ideas together in the Ambassador program.
Best!
@yoditar likewise! Anything else I need to do other than to wait for responses?
Have everyone has a great weekend!
@readaboutme1991 I love the videos youâve been putting out on Twitter. The first one where you spent Zcash at Chipotle was retweeted by Chipotleâs official account, right? So cool, and good for Zcash. Youâve hit on one of the most powerful tools we have to spread adoption, showing off practical real world uses of Zcash. If you want any officially licensed Zcash stickers, send me a dm here or @paywithzcash.
@_eric i cant figure out how to dm on here but would love some! gonna dm @paywithzcash on twitter as well! there is no greater joy then showing the world!
