I have the same problem and error message with moving ZEC out of Ledger Live secured by a Ledger.
FilH, hoping you’re successful getting Ledger to update things.

Of course the option to restore your seed in another wallet always exists. That will likely be the easiest (only) way to resolve the issue until an update to the Ledger software is pushed.
Same issue from me.
An exception occurred during transaction send: 16: bad-tx-consensus-branch-id-mismatch
I’m willing to do this. Is there a best, clear, idiot-proof step-by-step instructions for importing Ledger keys into Ywallet?
For a shielded address, you would just create a new account with the seed or key.
For a transparent address, you use the sweep tool. Sweep - YWallet
(Per a recent update by the Ywallet dev, an upcoming wallet called zkool will support creating an account normally with a transparent private key so stay tuned!)
FWIW, Trezor has consistently got this right for every upgrade, updating the consensus branch id in advance. Since Sapling (maybe also Overwinter?), I’ve tested transactions to and from a Trezor in the upgrade coordination meeting just after activation, and it has always worked (sometimes needing a firmware update if I haven’t updated recently). There would no point in doing that testing with Ledger: it would always fail, due to their policy of waiting to release new software that supports the upgrade until after it has happened. I would not personally use Ledger for Zcash.
I’m expecting that Keystone will be an even better choice for a hardware wallet once it is ready, since it will support shielded spends. The Keystone developers are very on-the-ball. In fact they asked today how they could make sure to avoid this consensus branch ID issue (they were already doing the right thing).
I have the same problem, I can’t send funds, will the ledger fix the problem?
from Ledger github it seems the fix is waiting for approval from higher ups at Ledger or sth
Have a good time! Has anyone solved this problem? I’m afraid to use Ywallet yet.
This is Zondax shielded app. Not the Classic official app unfortunately.
As an emergency solution, do anyone know how to import the seed of my ledger into Ywallet in case I have a passphrase on the ledger?
It seems we can only input the classic 24 words but how to input the pass phrase to access account?
Add it as a 25th word.
I solved the problem ! I download the last ywallet 1.8.0 and it is working…
thank you very much! I will try.
If you are still having issues after upgrading (and this is usually the method for fixing wallets), then you can attempt a rescan. The latest upgrade was at block 2726400, just a few days ago and would take almost no time to complete.
thanks through Ywallet and the Ledger trial wallet, everything turned out fine. Now I’m trying to wait for the official update of the application from Ledger.
Where I can download ledger trial wallet?
The trial is exaggerated, Ledger Flex was bought in the hope that the problem would be fixed, but the version of the classic Zec wallet is the same as the Nano S. There is an application from Zodax, but only a standard application works with transparent addresses, which does not support transfers. Ywallet tested, on a small balance, it helped. I don’t want to transfer the entire amount through a third-party wallet yet, but everything is simple according to the instructions from Ledger.
Is there any progress in this matter? We need that update ASAP
I just tried the Zcash app and it still doesn’t work. On Github there are no pull requests anymore (there was one for NU6 last week but it is closed now). Are there other places to see when the app gets updated instead of seeing through the Ledger app?
