Is it possible to execute “zcash-cli” commands without “zcashd” service running? If there is another miner running (i.e. “nheqminer_cpu”) can “zcashd” be running too, with maybe “gen=0”, on the same system? What is the best way to communicate with the Zcash network? Your input will be greatly appreciated!
Unless you have zcashd running on a remote instance and forward traffic, the answer is no.
