Looks like I am a little late (by 6 years)… but I am finding the childrens’ fable “The Emperor’s New Clothes” comes to my mind every time I hear about BTC maximalism..

It would be cool if there were a variant where all of the adults were pretending that the Emperor was not naked. That’s a part of the fable.. where there’s only the single child who is saying “He’s naked!”.
