That Yama South African Power supply seems fishy…Not saying that is the problem, but its worth looking into it.
Non-Large companies putting bitcoin labels on computer parts and giving only 1 year warranty make me suspicious…but that is just me…

If he had chosen a PSU with over voltage protection (OVP) all his hardware would still be alive

We live, we learn

Hey guys, I have two power supplies running in tandem, I have a Corsair 750W Gold as the master powering the rig and one GPU. The Yama is the slave and only powers the other 5 GPUs.

I am not sure what to suggest…but may be try mining without the Yama for a while and see how it goes.
From what I could find on the Internet, this Yama PSU appears very suspicious. It does not even look like 80Plus certified PSU.

UPDATE: After two days of troubleshooting, I’m back up and running. Replaced the burnt out BIOSTAR BTC PRO Mobo with a 6 Slot BIOSTAR BTC board. Everything is running stable now with an air con slapped onto the backside.

Lost two CPU’s in the troubleshooting process from the first motherboard’s issues. I came to the conclusion that it was definitely a faulty board, the older model BIOSTAR board is running without any issues so far.

The YAMA PSU is running fine, as a slave… However, in hindsight it would have been better to stick with two reputable brands, maybe 2 x 1200 EVGA’s or something.

Yikes! This is the stuff of nightmares. You’re lucky you didn’t burn down your place…wooden rig and all… Glad the damage was minimal.
