Best Pool To Mine Zcash

Is Gen 2 better than Gen 3 when you have a graphics card in an x4 slot and an x16 slot?

I had problems with suprnova as well, their payouts are a lot less than last week (ZEC/ZCL/ZEN)

Nothing is wrong with coinbase, they just have steep fee’s and their algorithm keeps their purchase prices several percent higher than the market averages.

I also noticed that their prices are quick to climb, slow to drop when match price movement. But like i saod earlier: convenience, ease of use and stability always come at a price

well, as far as i know the speed doesn’t affect the mining and the reason that i told him to change the speed is that when the speed is less , it needs less power , so the psu won’t have any problems with gpus (it could have some problems with voltages.because i had the same problem and it lacked voltage and not wattage.)

Thanks so much for the info. I’ll test it out first thing in the morning.

Planning to writ a full post on the pains of this set up, so hopefully other people won’t have to go through the same bs.

Thanks everyone for input  I will be sticking with EWBF miner and flypool, as it seems as if consistency mining to a pool is good. My secondary pool will be miningpoolhub. Changing the P-State of my 1080 gave me 30 H/s more. Will keep everyone updated on future results or problems.

Hey @loverali,

I could not find the area to enable 4G Decoding (or above 4G Decoding) but saw on another forum that the ASRock MB’s came ready to mine.

I’ve switched out my Vega Frontiers for GTX 1080 TI’s and followed your instructions, but they are still not being recognized.

if you are mining zcash i would suggest simplemining, 2$ a month per rig.

You can install this OS on a USB stick so you can save up money on ssds!

TL:DR

Rig:
3 ASUS Radeon R7 370 STRIX 2GB
3 ASUS Radeon R9 280X DirectX 11.2 3GB
Average hashrate: 1,400 Sol/s

Pool results:
Flypool: 8.2 hour average for 0.01 (averaged over ~2 months)
Slushpool: 9 hour average for 0.01 (averaged over ~3 weeks)
Nanopool: 6 hour average for 0.01 (averaged over 2 days) Will update as time goes on

Figured I’d throw in my two cents and findings. For this post, I’ll be using one rig of 3 ASUS Radeon R7 370 STRIX 2GB and 3 ASUS Radeon R9 280X DirectX 11.2 3GB for a total average hashrate of 1,400 Sol/s.

I started out with Flypool. No other reason than I was new and thought higher pool hashrate equaled faster payout.

After a couple weeks at Flypool, I decided to try Slushpool. I was attracted by their reputation with XBT, the zero fee, and a very nice UI. However, as others have noted in many other posts, Slush was just too inconsistent. It was a 24 hour gap of no blocks found that turned me away along with their hybrid PPLNS payout scheme (you’d see these huge farms point their hashing power at the pool for very brief moments and your payout dropped significantly.)

So, I went back to Flypool. The reason I went there over anywhere else was that it was the only one I trusted at the time. The rest felt semi-incomplete and was uneasy using them. I stayed there until recently. I hated being on Flypool because of how much hashing power they had compared to the overall power.

Cue Nanopool’s entrance. I decided to go check out Nanopool as I bookmarked it for possible future pool. It’s been about two days now and it just feels “right” to me. Very impressed so far with it overall. It’s been stead on it’s hashrate and miners, which I love and the UI is simple yet detailed.

Now, comparing the payouts:
Flypool: 8.2 hour average for 0.01 (averaged over ~2 months)
Slushpool: 9 hour average for 0.01 (averaged over ~3 weeks)
Nanopool: 6 hour average for 0.01 (averaged over 2 days) Will update as time goes on

The Nanopool average time is very short so remember that the average is based off of very few payouts and will most likely change.

Thanks for sharing your stats. I’m mining on nanopool too and for me it’s the best pool out there, really getting those payments quicker. Web design is very minimal and so functional, quick loading time too. Email notifications work really quickly and are relaiable. I usally get around 10% more than their estimates, witch is nice.

I do get days where I get payed more and days less. (Here are stats: Nanopool | ZCash | Account)

@johnwisdom what gpus are in your current rig?

I’ve got 3 1080ti Aorus running right now in my home office, i’m waiting for new mother board and PSU for final rig (8x 1080ti aorus).

what hashrates are you getting on your local com?

Nanopool seems to be giving a lower value

Average on nanopool is 2,127.2 Sol/s, a little less from reality (2175~).
I have a really shitty connection at home for some reason and I have 5-20 minutes down time 2-3 times a day (as you can see from stats).

Here are 4 my last payments:
14 2017-08-12 08:33:12 0.0502 ZEC
15 2017-08-13 16:39:49 0.0503 ZEC - 32 hours
16 2017-08-14 22:27:29 0.0515 ZEC - 30 hours
17 2017-08-15 16:54:59 0.0515 ZEC - 18 hours and 1/2

Can you help me about this error.

When should i see my rig. If after the first payment, do you know what is the start up payment balance?

By the way on pc screen my hashrates are better than flypool for now.

Thanks.

Thank for reply. After 30 minutes without payment i saw my rigs on nano. For to newbies about nano (like me) rigs are appearing about 30 minutes at Nanopool. Then you should follow your hashrates about 5 minutes delay.
