Can't send ZEC from Trust Wallet

Those three wallets didn’t update their software when Zcash had it’s halving on November 23rd.

Many wallets work just fine, if you really need access to your ZEC restore into one of the many wallets that are working just fine.

Yep, NU6 changed the network consenus branch id which is required to be correct in all txs.

My sympathies for what you’re going through. It’s happening because the developers of the wallets you have chosen don’t update their software properly and don’t provide solutions with the urgency their users need. Please file a support ticket with them.

We contacted Trust and Exodus repeatedly and they said they had fixed the problem and that they would apply those fixes in their next release. We have done everything that was within our reach and even more. You can use other wallets like Edge, Unstoppable, Zashi, Zingo and Ywallet that responsibly update their applications in a timely manner when protocol updates occur.

I rage contacted Exodus numerous times and at they just told me to install and sync with Ywallet. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Thank you so much for your info
Just quick question as i am not an expert. Can i sync Exodus wallet (include ZEC) on Unstoppable or Zingo wallet ?? Not a hug fan of Ywallet as Sync took forever last time so i would rather use different wallet.

Any info will be appreciated.

No sync needed for transparent addresses. This was mentioned many times in the forum but maybe not obvious to find.

Someone could make a pinned thread about recovery because it seems to affect a lot of users.

Same. I’m dumping all 800 of my ZEC, even if it’s at a loss lol

I would be happy to pin a thread, could someone please make one with all the relevant info?

EDIT:

Done : Zcash stuck in a wallet? Check here!

Trying to restore my ledger onto ywallet but it doesn’t seem to find multiple zec wallets on ledger? Only picks up the 1st wallet (index 0)

Can you help here?

The sweep tool is specifically for transparent recovery. There is is also the key tool which was used mostly for zecwallet light subaccount recovery. The instructions for both are just the next two pages in the docs.

sweep worked perfect for the Ledger account at index 0, but can’t get it to work for the account at index 1.

did you enter the account index?

yep. now when i do a sweep i just get the error “not enough funds to pay for the fees”

It’s supposed to work. Maybe they derive their accounts differently than bip 44, or you don’t have enough funds in there.

account at index 0 had funds, I’ve since moved them off after doing a sweep, and that account now has 0 zec.

account at index 1 has more then enough funds.

I created a new wallet on ywallet, with zero zec, and then did the sweep… hope that’s the correct way?

you should read the docs and provide feedback if they are unclear.

I have read the docs here Sweep - YWallet not much there to give feedback on tbh.

then, it should be clear that there is no need to create a wallet since you can send to any address directly.
