The ZCG committee pay has increased to keep up with inflation. Would you support increasing the pay of hardworking Zcash ambassadors who have been instrumental in driving Zcash adoption? (IMO even more so than any marketing-related grant, while navigating major changes within the Zcash ecosystem this year).
In this bear market, do you believe it is beneficial to allocate large chunks of major grant dev funds toward marketing activities or videos? If yes, can you point to evidence of success or potential benefits to the Zcash community?
As a voter responsible for approving or rejecting grants, do you plan to primarily focus on satisfying the existing user base and the ZCAP vote bank? Or do you have plans to look beyond the existing Zcash community and towards the broader crypto ecosystem to grow ZEC usage as the primary privacy-preserving money layer?
The wallet teams in 2023 received partial funding, with the explanation that there was insufficient interest in funding full-time developers. However, the Zcash wallet ecosystem lacks a comprehensive solution targeting new users and various ZEC use cases alike. Do you support the dev funds being used to enhance ZEC’s usability through full-time developers or by funding part-time developers who look after critical services and projects in the Zcash ecosystem?
Do you support the idea of the Zcash Foundation having a central role in driving governance and protocol-related matters? Per what I’ve seen in the past year, ZF gets an undue amount of negative commentary which is harmful to Zcash as a project when compared to other cryptocurrency foundation entities.
Are you currently involved or planning to lead Zcash/RFP/crypto-related initiatives that may result in conflicts of interest and influence your voting on grants?
Over the past year, numerous ZK-based projects have gained attention from investors, developers, and potential users. Why do you believe Zcash is a superior option compared to others?
Prioritising projects which facilitate peer to peer ZEC payments, spending and earning ZEC from each other within local and global communities needs to be front and centre in my opinion.
With the ongoing regulatory attacks on centralised crypto entities this is a good moment to re-invigorate the original spirit of crypto as peer to peer cash networks.
Zcash now has Zingo wallet which is awesome. Everyone in the community should be doing their little bit to develop and support projects which enable commerce, and social and cultural interaction powered by Zcash on a peer to peer basis.
The MiCA framework recently ratified in the EU does not currently impinge negatively on shielded peer to peer crypto transactions.
Now is the moment for our community to pull together and drive this technology forward for the people, rather than following the standard route of centralising, corporate self-enrichment.
If a majority of the community voted / voiced in support of restructuring the ZCG so that it was no longer under the Zcash Foundation but rather a new, independent, Non-US Organization, would you support or not support the majority and why?
Would you support a change in the forums where previous grant recipients have a public badge that shows how many grants a community member has received?
Would you support an update to the ZCG Dashboard to allow the public to vote on completed grants effectiveness? Could be as simple as a 1-5 scale. The idea is to gauge, overtime, how well completed grants are perceived from the public. Similar to a public google review. This could help the ZGC with future grant decisions.
Do you believe that there is any value too low for ZEC at which point all block reward spending should be halted? (This could be referred to as a programmatic furlough period)
