Genoil's ZEC Miner

Even with 480 alone I have unstable miner :frowning:

Mixed cards doesnt seem to be stable in some setups(gen 1 and 470’s), but it was a 7 card rig. My other 7 card rig seems to be stable with mixed cards running. Both W10.

Yes, win 10 x64, last amd drivers.

Working

Death AMD cards. Do something.http://j-p-g.net/if/2016/10/31/0347541001477902419.png

using the latest miner and 1 card keeps stopping on all three of my rigs

Why the miner speed is CPU-bound?
Is there part of the algo that runs on the cpu?

using the -t switch uses CPU Thread mining e.g. -t 8 would use 8 threads of an i7

So at least it works to start them for some minutes now needs improvements give him time  i just added restart script to my bad to restart every 5 minutes to be sure all cards are on and not at 0 sol

How long can you use Genoil for before it crashes on you?
I can run my 3x RX480s for about 15min, I get to around 90S/s and then its game over - in some cases Genoil appears to have a memory leak and I need to reboot the system.

e.g. task manager shows Genoil.exe -46kb memory usage and my system hangs

I’m getting a fatal error when I try to run 0.4.2. Seems to be working on other systems. The main difference is this one has an Nvidia 980ti for the primary GPU mixed with 2 RX 480. 0.4.1 is working fine still.

It’s also crashing with “-k zec zec”.

how can i add a restart command?

I have a sketchy answer here:

set a batch file using taskkill /f /im genoil.exe
then use task scheduler to kill the miner every 15min and then another task to start your miner batch file again.

:loop
genoil.exe -c pool -u walletaddress -p z -k zec zec
choice/n/t:c,<150>/c:cc
taskkill/F/IM genoil.exe
goto loop

Whats the meaning of -k zec ?!

it starts 2 instances per gpu (silent army)…wud increase d hashrate of 470 from approx 18 to 25…

Hey Genoil, thanks again for the miner, some feedback on the latest build:

My Pentium G3240 / 6 x RX470 rig seems to load the OpenCL kernel faster/more reliably now. I have a script to kick it every 4 hours, so will revisit to see how it’s looking in the morning… It actually seems to run about the same/infinitismally better, so progress, I guess.

Here’s what Nvidia looks like after copying the OpenCL.dll from the nheqminer 0.3a bins, no luck:

BTW, it’d be great if it could CPU+GPU mine like nheqminer does, but I can understand if it’s a pain, I guess I try running nheqminer on CPU alongside your miner for GPU if OpenCL on Nvidia gets working.

hey guys, ive been trying to sort out my miner, it keeps reseting my pc while mining…

I have fixed the cpu heat issues I had, now at around 60 - 65 max…Only 4 cards with 1000w power supply…

Any settings in afterburn or the miner to fix this issue?

Anyone know what else it could be?

Thanks
