Any source updates Dev? On my one rig (with 2.8hgz processer) I’m only getting about 45 sols/s with a 1070, other rig is getting 55. Odd - pretty much configured the same otherwise.
i had a chat with the dev and he is busy until tuesday, so don’t expect updates before that
i’m running silentarmy on nvidia now
how are the results? Link?
this is dirty form for silentarmy for nvidia, not optimized, need edit opencl path in makefile, need cuda 8
Still about 40/50 sols/s it sounds like?
no, it’s slower - 35s/s … but now it can be improved…
thata AMD ?
so why in the nvidia topic?
because it runs on nvidia
35 sol/s i get with the normal miner too
also the linux version of @zcminer-dev does arround 50, but under linux for now. A windows version is coming and still can be optimized.
Hi folks,
Is it possible to run the GPU miner in a virtualbox installation of Ubuntu through my windows desktop with the same performance? I virtually installed ubuntu to get the wallet going.
Thanks
NO virtual box and vm ware have no direct access to GPU hw
Ah. Unfortunate. Thanks for the info.
@nu1mlock, can you share your settings, I have Gforce 730 Nvidia card…am not getting anything reasonable…
I didn’t have any specific settings. The reason you’re not getting anything reasonable is because you’ve got a 730.
Can you please recommend a good Nvidia card that will give me a good sol and or AMD, am more a Fan of Nvidia really…
I was wondering about that. So How To Enable 3D Acceleration In VirtualBox - Make Tech Easier provides some sort of middle layer between host and guest?
It depends on if what you’ll be doing with it. I have a GTX 1080 in this PC but I’m also using it to play games (Nvidia cards aren’t as good for mining though). But if you’re just going to use it for mining, then the RX 470 from AMD seems to be the most common choice due to its price/performance ratio.
I currently have to depend on my processor, i7, 3.4Ghz, 4core , but 8 threads, hyperthreaded to get about 18 sol
I will hunt for one asap…
