Is he going to hard code it to only mine to one pool again?! Or will we be able to choose our pool like with most normal miners?

135 Sol/s, modded BIOS, 1375 strap, 1360 core, 1750 mem. 165 watt peak. 140 watt average.

But still one card disconnecting. Even at stock. Something is bananas with the miner.

MSI rx 480 4gb, stock, getting about 110 per card across 5 cards.

looks like hardware error. did you check cards with claymore eth miner for debugging?

Claymore runs solid.
Same with Silentarmy, less hashrate though.

There is a issue ticket on Github regarding this. There are quite a few people with the same problem.

I still have problems to run miner at systemboot on 14.04

i use /etc/rc.local

#!/bin/sh -e
#
# rc.local
#
# This script is executed at the end of each multiuser runlevel.
# Make sure that the script will "exit 0" on success or any other
# value on error.
#
# In order to enable or disable this script just change the execution
# bits.
#
# By default this script does nothing.
cd /home/m/optiminer-zcash/
screen bash run.sh
exit 0

my run.sh file:

#!/bin/bash
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
./optiminer-zcash -s eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u t1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.rig

same code works on 16.04

any idea how to get it run on system boot on 14.04?

Im getting 130 hash than down to 70 hash per card on claymore. the hashrate moves up and down so much. 2-3 jobs 130 hashrate. 2-3 jobs 90-100. 2-3 jobs 70-80 than back to 125-130 hashrate.

How exactly do you think the ROC-smi can be used for overclocking? I didn’t see an option to set the clocks outside of those already listed from the BIOS.

There is the overdrive option, but that didn’t seem to help much.

i always use sudo with cronjob and it works flawlessly. .you should try to sudo the script

more so optiminer …clazymore only fixed up and released his V5 because optiminer got ahead of him…
you actually have optiminer to thank for claymore V5

quoting extremal: “I’ll try get Claymore’s v5/optiminer speed in 2-3 days.”

Have you looked at the CPU usage, not sure why but sometimes the miner takes off with respect to the CPU and the speed bogs a lot.

Do you need to run make after you pull 0.3.2 from the github?

No. I downloaded the tar and then extracted it and ran optiminer with my original script (which sits outside the optiminer directory).

Try the -i 2 switch for high intensity.

That helds my hashrate up at 365 right now with the 1500strap VBIOS. The 1375strap caused too many memory errors above 1800MHz on the memory for my RX470s.

Im using 1750 strap right now. Getting with the new Miner 1.8 kH/s on 12 GPU (RX470).

Hope this Version runs stable 0.31 crashed after 1 hours, 2 times so I lost last miner night ;-). If this is not stable for me I will change again to silentarmy v5.

@Optiminer Thx. a lot for your work! Keep doing your good job!

1,8 kSol/s is quite nice. Do you have a comparisation to the stock strap?

On th mining it makes a big difference. But as zcash miners do not utilize that much memory, I don’t know the advantage of a different memory strap on that scale.

What has the dev fee been reduced to?
