Miner- SILENTARMY v5

im not sure, but I know KDE desktop cause me some problems installing some things so i just use the default ubuntu unity

worst part for me is now ubuntu is failling to recognize my 7 GPUs at most it will see 6… I think Claymores Crap might have killed one of my GPUS!!! was all working fine everytime before my system crashed while running clarymore V1.1 linux… I realllly dont like that guy anymore

xfce desktop on Xubuntu, but yes, maybe I’ll try Ubuntu instead. I dont like Unity, but thats the minor problem.

Thanks for the advice!

your welcome, i dont really like unity either

we have 3 versions now:

I install Ubuntu 16.04 now and will test them. I’ll let you guy know about my findings.

am downlaoding 14.04, as i see lots of people have troubles with 16.04 and amdpro drivers

Hm, I was thinking about 14.04 aswell, but on the AMD download page it just mentions 16.04 as supported. Didn’t find any posts about installing this driver on 14.04

14.04 is just install fglrx from apt repo…

Easy as that huh? Hm. Then I’ll go for Xubuntu 14.04, if that fails I have to try Ubuntu 16.04. :joy:

The SilentArmy might be silent, but news of Claymores copying was anything but silent - Heard Around The World.

People in China are saying it was very mean of Claymore to copy marcs work

The point for most is a windows miner that is as stable as Claymores (with the additional features).

Everyone will switch over but where is it ?

Note: I have dual-boot on all my machines but Windows makes it easier for me to monitor.

and yes lots of miners reported crashing, i just has someone tell me their system crashed when trying out claymore today also

Change fan speed and clock this is not problem?

didnt change clock speed, fans were running fine before, no problems… one major crash, froze up my system while testing claymores miner - litterally a minute or two after starting his miner

first time that has ever happened

probably wont happen again considering we probably wont ever see a superior miner from someone that needs to steal code to get it off the ground in the first place
