Miner- SILENTARMY v5

Hahaha u are realy a funny person.
Claymore has apoligies to him for using a small part of his code, he has remove all the downloads he have for those miner and gonna make another avalible with only hes own code.

yhy… but I need ubuntu config for rx480 where I can change fan speed can clock.

Am sure Amd pro only works with some cards.

Ie 280x are not in the list on amd gpu pro 16.04

‘‘Radeon™ R7 300, R9 295X2, R9 280X, R9 280, R9 270X, R9 270, R7 265, R7 250X, R7 250, R7 240, HD 8500 - HD 8900, and HD 7700 – HD 7900 Series’’

Caught is not the right word i wana use, he say he didnt think of that he using those codes when he release the public miner.
And its hard to apoligies when u dont know that u have something to apoligies for until someone tells u

Is there a command in 16.04 to Hard-reboot Ubuntu? like in EthOS?

As dev2 some times drops from 50ish to 26… and it wont reboot(still runs) via ssh when I sudo reboot, have to go to the Rig to turn off.

He use that code for testing yes, and forget to make others, yes he sas.
All those words u call people for isnt gona make ur bigger, thats pretty lame.

What does padrino121/silentarmy offer over the other two? just wondeing

16.40 is just fine with 480’s 470’s.

Jesus so much yada yada…

Oh, you are correct, I really missed this point. I was in a big hurry to release first version asap, so I concentrated on main Wagner’s algo,
blake is not interesting for me at this point since it takes only 10% of total GPU time and it’s trivial in fact, blake algo is not that I can call something new.
But to make some start point asap I included your blake.c into my sources and then forgot about it and did not create my implementation. That’s what happens if you are in a hurry.
It is very unpleasant situation for me, I will do the following:

  1. I remove v1.0 and v1.1 versions of my miner. In fact, I already removed current packages from google drive and MEGA, I will upload updated versions soon.
In next version I will remove your blake.c from my sources.
  2. I apologize, it’s only my fault that I used this part of your code. I was not going to do it in public version.
  3. I want to send you some compensation from my ZEC dev fee if you don’t mind, just send me your ZEC address.
  4. I’m not going to hide my fault in any way, I will post this message in my miner thread in first post.

So what is the point of arguing here? :sleepy:
He made a mistake, he apologized and is fixing it right now.

Lets be friends again, okay? :kissing_closed_eyes:

BTW Xubuntu 14.04 installed perfectly. Updating and installing fglrx right now. Then I’ll test mining right away.

Thanks, chtat12 -

  • your suggestion made sense
  • i took out both R9 Nanos and the display was normal (as expected).
  • then installed the AMDGPU driver (previously just downloaded) … and the AMD SDK
  • then rebooted
  • now Ubuntu 16.04 doesn’t work; i put in my screen PW, the screen reboots and and asks for PW again … and again

Thoughts?

I did make a mistake in following ReadMe doc. It says to reboot after installing AMDGPU driver, and that step precedes installing AMD SDK. I was tired and overlooked it, rebooting only after installing both.

Thanks hot.
