I compiled with fglrx flag getting a 15% speed up on ubuntu 15.04
what card do you use?
280X 380 390X 7990 7970 all got speed up
3 time install linux
sudo gpasswd -a $(whoami) video no login after reboot
sudo gpasswd -a myusername video no login after reboot reboot login administrator back to login screen, different background (dark for 1 sec). no terminal for hard reboot .... sudo gpasswd -a myusername-sytem-name video no login after reboot
am installing 16.04 also
seems like veryone gets stuck after the video group
why is it needed??

Same here. I had problems with Windows 10 and crashing drivers. So I switched to Linux.
Xubuntu 16.04 fails to install the amdgpu-pro driver. fglrx not available. Xubuntu 14.04 fails to install amdgpu-pro driver from repo with kernel panics. fglrx installs, but wont load after reboot.
Installed Ubuntu 16.04 now and will give it a try.
The 7990+7970 doing 82 sol/s 6x 280X 218 sol/s and 2x 380 1x 390X and 2x 280X 220 sol/s as reported by flypool.
I literally have tried everything with Ubuntu 16.04 its not Ubuntu its the blasted driver. If you look at AMDs site it says some platforms may not boot or will prevent login!!!

Plz follow the instruction on Github. You have to download and install the pro-driver manually. But plz check the version of your driver and the difference to the description ā¦ you canāt c&p everything.
You should add some Online-Repositories, after that you can remove the CD-ROM as a Repository.

Am sure Amd pro only works with some cards.
Ie 280x are not in the list on amd gpu pro 16.04

edit param.h and set OPTIM_FOR_FGLRX to 1
for fglrx (Ubuntu 14.04 or 15.04-15.10)
