Miner- SILENTARMY v5

Jep like I predicted.
Installation of driver crashed in a atimpag.sys BSOD.

When using one card, even with raiser, installation is flawless. Using more cards → BSOD.

PCI Gen1

Edit//
I’ll try the latest WHQL driver 16.10.1, and if this fails aswell then I will try to use the 16.6 driver which comes with a fresh installation of Windows 10. If this fails I downgrade the BIOS version. Maybe I get somewhere with it.

Is this on linux and if so what version and which video drivers if I may ask?

pretty common for rx470?
do you think the rx480 are worth the extra?

I’m curious where to find nerdralph’s optim …?

@smith88 The github link is posted above, in this very thread.

The RX 480 8GB is not discernibly different from the RX 470 8GB and costs maybe $30-50 more. I’m probably going to return the 480 for another 470.

Thank you. I got lost in the thread. Perfect!

Wonderful thanks. I’m updating my old litecoin gpu farm. Dating myself here lol

I removed the amd drivers now with amdcleanuputility.exe, and reinstalled the drivers using Driver Booser 4.0
Now all cards are installed, but 3 of them show a Code43.

Then i used 6xGPU_mod_1_0_0_1.exe to update the registry, but no change. Still Code 43. :bread:

Hey support for R9 280x already, windows ? genoil 85 sos Claymore’s ZCas 150, ik like to go silent army if it is possible .

it’s now included in master branch, but you need to edit param.h before compilation. See readme for complete instructions.

What driver version does it say on your installed cards?

What driver version does it say on the cards that works?

@mrb will a weak CPU influence the performance of the miner? I saw in the implementation details that a potential solution computed on the GPU is finally verified again on the CPU. I’m running 5 GPU’s x 2 instances on a Celeron dual core G1840 (only 2 MB level 2 cache). CPU usage is about 45%. Do you think a CPU upgrade will bring a visible improvement ?

I’M BACK!!!

awesome! cant wait to test it out !

Silentarmy already has native stratum support??? Is yours a mining stats proxy? Just curious.

Neat, got this working, runs maybe a hair faster w/ instances=1 than 2 on a GTX970 (just about 20 sol/s, about 25% faster than Tromp’s old CUDA code).

So, you’ll only use sa-solver and not the silentarmy python blob? Doesn’t make sense to me to use both. Your proxy would also become a single point of failure, which a farm (I have 20 rigs) isn’t going to appreciate. Just throwing that out there, no worries.
