Jep like I predicted.
Installation of driver crashed in a atimpag.sys BSOD.
When using one card, even with raiser, installation is flawless. Using more cards → BSOD.
PCI Gen1
Edit//
I’ll try the latest WHQL driver 16.10.1, and if this fails aswell then I will try to use the 16.6 driver which comes with a fresh installation of Windows 10. If this fails I downgrade the BIOS version. Maybe I get somewhere with it.
I removed the amd drivers now with amdcleanuputility.exe, and reinstalled the drivers using Driver Booser 4.0
Now all cards are installed, but 3 of them show a Code43.
@mrb will a weak CPU influence the performance of the miner? I saw in the implementation details that a potential solution computed on the GPU is finally verified again on the CPU. I’m running 5 GPU’s x 2 instances on a Celeron dual core G1840 (only 2 MB level 2 cache). CPU usage is about 45%. Do you think a CPU upgrade will bring a visible improvement ?
How to install Ubuntu, AMDGPU & Silentarmy video coming up
Currently trying to figure out how to get Manjaro Arch linux to boot up with AMDGPU Pro
If i figure that out I will create a how to install Manjaro Arch Linux, AMDGPU and SIlentarmy video also
So, you’ll only use sa-solver and not the silentarmy python blob? Doesn’t make sense to me to use both. Your proxy would also become a single point of failure, which a farm (I have 20 rigs) isn’t going to appreciate. Just throwing that out there, no worries.
