i am no expert in these things but i would assume the architecture of the 4gb and 8gb cards are the same and the 4gb would work on the 8gb as well with the same results

I received my riser yesterday yeehaw! Made allready a lot of test and edited my BIOS like hell =), found a stable way to run (only GPU mining, tested with same hardware):

Receiving 98-105H/s with 2 x RX 470 → on claymore miner
Receiving 92-96H/s with 2 x RX 470 → on Xubuntu with lates amdpro drivers and silentarmy. → rate goes down after 3-4 min to 82H/s

I tought silentarmy is faster then claymore?

But you receive 98-105 H/s on claymore miner, while you get 92-96 H/s on silentarmy…
Then how could you said that it faster than claymore?

did you set the optim flag before compiling
how long did you run it? It may take a while to stabilize the temp, meanwhile the DPM can flicker and this makes you loose some S/s. You can stabilize quicker if you set manually the DPM and higher fan speed.

I get with SA same speed you have with claymore.

:: Added now on my rig the 5th card. => windows gets driver problem and miner not working anymore. On linux with silentarmy, no problem. Mining with 5card with 245h/s goodjob, keep doing your great job! thx you guys …

Just using Windows für flashing new rom on the gfx card =)…

Lol, after plug in the 6th card Windows now working again, got 301H/s with 915W usage. (without CPU mining yet …).

Didn’t saw any difference …

For those having issues with a gpu hanging, this go program monitors the output of sa and checks for a card reporting 0.0H/s and runs the “tryagain” hard reset script

Just change L14 to your pool choice, and L20 to the path of your sa build in your home directory (example ubuntu /home/voxelot/silentarmy/silentarmy). Compile and run the program with options:

–address(the address to mine to)
–use (gpu device numbers)
–name(name of the rig mining)
–coming soon (number of instances)

Example:

$GOPATH/bin/sa-monitor t1d1DQciS8AqViH1GqmPhTrky3qLY3ySbrG 0,1,2,3,4 euclid

This will also create an output log to your desktop that will report when a gpu went dead and a hard restart was initiated.

There is also a script in the repo that will run this program on startup. With the right user permissions you can get an auto restart.

I’ll release an ubuntu ISO with these scripts/programs preloaded soon.

@mrb Noticed on my rigs at least a 50% reduction in CPU usage for the latest sa-solver! Super! That allows me to run another CPU mining thread.

Same here, about 4-5% with RX 470.
Edit: oh yes I missed the cpu usage reduction. 20W less at the wall

Need some help here. I’m testing a R9 380 on Ubuntu 16.06. Had no issued for almost a week and today my machine crashed. After it, I tried mining and I got this:
