MXM cards the future of gpu mining?

To be honest it took a significant financial buy to start the mxm mining
but you can match the heat performance and hash per a watt by bios missing
and underclocking

Thank you for your answer, but I don’t understand. Could you simplify that? Was it worth investing in MXM or in the end comes more expensive with less performance?

Yes if you want to invest 80k into it. I was able to get the boards for less than 200 dollars each for equivalent rx480 8gb mxm boards

I did have to make heatsinks for the gpu build a rack to hold them into the oil bath I built and mount them under ground for cooling here in vegas it was a chore.

However they have been working for year now not a single one has gone bad out of the 400 I bought. With bios mod and power mod they are at 88 watts for gpu and 108 watts for board

You can check out Harmony Technical. They offer a lot of PCIe and MXM GPUs that can be used for mining. Their prices are reasonable and I’ve found that they also can get some that aren’t listed on their Web site. But they only take orders for at least 50 units.

Hey, how did your project go. I am working on a solar concept in a cooler climate and the the need to rid of the cooling and transformation loses I ended up looking for MXM cards and found this thread very useful. Are you still in this? Thanks
