RX 470 and 480 Speed

480s i use:

470s i use:

you can thank boysie for his 470 mod here

I have an RX480 which is doing around 18 sols/s … Does that sound about right or can it go higher?

How many sols/s are you getting per RX480?

That sounds very low. What software and you running and what CPU ?

What miner are you using? Windows or Linux? Link?

I’m referring to just the GPU. I’m using Windows 7, non-whql-win7-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-16.10.3-oct27 and miner : nheqminer_v0.3a

Download Genoils miner

v5.0 you should get over 30h/s

really about the same as my rx470 4g cards, 30-35

watch the video I posted, one of those cards is a 480, can you tell which one? (answer probably no)

I actually am using that custom rom already…
@trolloniex : I get an error when trying to run it: error: clGetDeviceIDs

this is an iGPU error, its trying to use your onboard graphics, use -P 1 as a switch in your launch command, shoudl fix it

TLDR: CPU will be non-competitive soon enough. And with low resale value probably not worth investing in when GPU’s are likely to hit 100+ Sol/s within weeks.

i think its still worth it if you want to use the CPU for other things in the future… maybe you wont be able to pay it off in full, but you will get a better discount on it by using it to mine… no? maybe i’m wrong…

CPUs though are seemingly producing more shares on pools… did anyone figure out why on that>?

Yup, you sorted that one out fast… Thanks… 150 sols/s with 5 x RX480’s

Thanks again… With a bit of tweaking 175 sols/s with the 5 cards

That’s just huge AWS instances for now. There are people running 100k hash on amazon right now.

Are you running Genoils miner in two instances? What’s your config?

I’m using 5 AMD RX 480’s… With @trolloniex’s fix and @cryptomined’s great tutorial, all running smoothly…

genoil.exe -k zec zec -c pool:poolport -u address.worker -p z -P 1

And whats your settings?

I’m assuming outside of power draw 390/390x cards would get very similar results (at higher power draw)?

 i was suprised they are practically identical in sol/s

Thanks, you rock !

supposedly 390s are the best, i would like to see your results
