Tonight’s movie : “Paul”

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kristin Wiig.

The Isle of Dogs was absolutely fantastic, stop-motion miniatures, it’s so intensely Japanese it’s almost like Akira Im not kidding and I enjoyed so much! Its a Wes Anderson film and the little nuances in the details is just unreal, very much like his version of The Fantastic Mr. Fox

The impending snowblivion, the setup is basically the cold front moving down through Canada and the tropical low over SoCal and the Baja will collide and, especially at my altitude, produce snow

Am I just old or is it the abomination of pointers to look up tables of pointers of tables you get when you look at this in a disassembler.

I agree with this man. (btw Im a big perl fan and will occasionally use an object there. I can code in ruby without a problem, I just dont. its faster in perl. I wonder whatever happened to HD Moore (that was his actual first name). He got me into ruby through writing metasploit plugins.

This made me think of you.

Especially the deployable antenna at about 2:32 - it might even be useful for you under certian conditions. looks fun and easy(ish) to make.

Thats cool, there are inflatable antennas but they’re niche although I don’t know If I’ve seen one quite like inflate-a-snake
Happy cake day!

wanna try and make one? you could covertly hide them across america in those inflatable things they have at car sales places.

I have a good friend who is into flying model aircraft, or really anything. bearing in mind i live in the uk and everywhere is kinda near an airport what fun stuff can we drop from the sky or fire upwards?

Is there anything we could do that you might be able to pick a signal from up yet not get me and him in prison?

Thats a wacky, waving, inflatable, arm-flailing tube-man and uh idk about all that! :sweat_smile: stability tends to be desired. Legacy radio control stuff in the states is 27mhz and 49mhz while everything else newer is switching to 2.4ghz and 5G which is more heavily dependent on line of sight as well as everything else higher up the spectrum. Weather and high altitude measurement balloons are little airborne transmitters on or somewhere near 20cm I think but I wouldn’t be lettin ballons go near airports! :balloon: :airplane: :bird:

not sure if im watching this or listening to it.

Video explains the Amen break. - You will all know it. it started a dance revolution in the 90’s in the uk. now it is everywhere.

Saw Chile bobs post he was watching sneakers in 2019. No joke when you watch the movie, during the scene where they hack into the federal reserve, the “telelink system” appears to run on XRP. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been following that smart meter project and that popped up today but lately Ive been just watching those physics lectures and modules, they’re great, started back at 8.01x so my viewing schedule is pretty full for a while! I have been getting Batman the animated series on disc in mail (the olde tyme Netflix) and watching with my daughter and dude they just don’t do shows. like that anymore. Last one was season 1 disc 2 and had one in particular called “It’s Never Too Late” and there’s substance and character in this 27 minute Batman cartoon than in most movies I’ve seen in the past like 15 years.

I’m watching the Marvel Universe right now. Turns out I haven’t seen all the parts, and when you watch one part after another, it all comes together.)

From GOES16

I used to live down in that area and storms like that are no joke. Up inland the rain will saturate the ground and along with the wind can uproot trees and cause power outages, potential for tornadic activity but overall you’re safe. The greatest danger is called the storm surge which affects the coastal and low lying areas, a tremendous amount of flood water that’ll come up as high as 20 feet. The record was Katrina in Pass Christian (kris-chi-anne) at 27.8 feet, you may have seen the pictures of the large ocean vessels that got washed up laying across the highways, thats why. Y’all stay safe out there!

Movie films I saw recently:

West Side Story (2021) :star::star::star::star::star:
Watched this at the cinema, on IMAX. It’s a remake of the original 1960s film which is a remake of the stage musical. Really enjoyed it. Steven Spielberg did good.

Don’t Look Up (2021) :star::star::star:
A movie film on Netflix about a meteor hitting the planet. Got a star-studded cast and is very current. A fun and interesting film, but I don’t think it’s a classic and lots of references won’t stand the test of time.

Nice, I’ll have to check out Don’t look up, saw the preview but haven’t clicked on it yet.

I’m enjoying the latest season of the Witcher which is really good but I have to say the books are EPIC. If you enjoy the series, do yourself a favor and read the books! :books:
