Right now you have to run your own full node to use z addresses.
On mac or windows you can run https://zcash4mac.com or https://zcash4win.com, which are my ports of zcash to mac and win, bundled with a GUI wallet (by @vaklinov, its available for Linux too, just standalone), to be able to do shielded transactions in a GUI.
Multi-sig works right now for t-addresses exactly the same as with bitcoin 0.11.2, which zcash forked from. multi-sig for z-addresses if still being worked on.
