Anyone have any insider gossip/theories on the recent drop in difficulty?
I think an asic producer stop testing a new batch.
I think that Innosilicon have turned off all their miners and decided to sell them all (3 day promo), maybe some legal problems or āpressure from the outsideāā¦
I saw last night on their website they were offering a buy one get one deal so that could possibly explain itā¦
So how much are the Z9ās getting on average i know theyāre rated at 10K sol/s but i was reading about people getting anywhere from 15k to 17k sol/s after overclocking them a bitā¦
At the default clock of 500MHz they get their advertised hashrate.
You can clock them up to over 800MHz it appears, but the chip will start having faults and not hash well if the power delivery is not improved.
In general, just using the web page you can set them to between 700-750MHz and get a 40-50% increase in hashrate at the expense of 40-50% more power used. The fan must spin a lot faster to maintain 70C or under as well.
man man man, donāt know what to do ![]()
should I or shouldnāt I? the biggest concern is the noise for me and the neighbors, because I would put it in a loggia.
I mean. I donāt know how close your neighbors areā¦
I have mine in my office. I can comfortably play games and work on design sitting 5 feet from it. Itās really not that bad. (and yes that is at 15.8ks/s and 60% fan setting).
Itās not THAT loud. I cant hear it at all in the adjacent room (my bedroom). But theāres 2 feet of gap between them for closets, and itās traditional plaster not gypsum board.
IN LOGGIA
anyways mate, if you keep on regular settings (10k @300W) it makes very low noise. And the air that comes out is COLD, so 100% no heat and no disturbing.
Overclocked it makes a lot of noise but air is still crazy fresh/cold
You bought one directly to switzerland @johnwisdom ?
yes, 1 on first batch! 100% valid shares with 737M frequency @15.5K
oh yeah, and in switzerland I paid exactly 7.7% on IVA, so for batch 2 youād expect less than 90chf (per sdoganarlo)
I just ordered 7 from batch 2 last night lets hope they are worth it⦠i wanna continue to support Zcash but i couldnt do it with GPUās anymore was not really worth itā¦
just in time. Now bitmain and innosilicon are sold out
Bitmain opened up againā¦
I still have the two $250 coupons. Iām not sure if Iāll order 2 more or not. I donāt want to buy them when I know there are probably a few tens of thousands being made (and never ROI)
you are making wrong calculations. If they sold 120ā000 units in second batch ROI would still be around 6-8 months (depending on eletricity costs)
and with 250$ discount coupon its a steal
Its happened to me before i checked their site and it said sold out and then i went back on a couple of hours later and they were back and available for purchase again i donāt quite understand it
They set a limit for sales, and revised their limit. They probably keep placing more orders for parts ever time they reach a a certain quantity.
Yeah I tried as low as 625 but that chip was still unhappy. With the hashrate @ 625 I figured it was more worth it to just run at 750 on 11 good chips.
and the NEW Z9 miners are now in
Estimated specifications and other information of the Antminer Z9 are as mentioned below.
Hashing algorithm: Equihash
Power consumption: 1150W± 10%
Hashrate: 40.8k Sol/s ± 5%
Hereās a hopin that the price is right and I can use a coupon for it ![]()
